some parts of it were pretty sad, but the overall story was a bit..... wierd.

^ i agree wit the sad parts of the story but overall i thik it had a good story line to it puttin aside the sexual content of the story it this kind of situation might really happen to one of us in the real world

sad story...reality does suck, not everyone can be happy by the decisions made by others. i was rooting for haruka in this one, now if she could really 'turn back time'. good watching, colors are nice and the story says it all. taka needed some more punches to the face for his behavior.

this is the saddest anime i ever watch, because of this i tried to avoid drama romance anime. I almost cry after finish the anime, i couldn't sleep, my chest feel like it gonna burst. The ending is just too sad

one of my top 5 ^^ I love that kind of stories ! It was sad but realistic ... ok I confess I wanted to kill the boyfriend but the rest was great ! Just watch it because if it's not done you have missed something ! you gonna shiver you gonna cry you gonna hate this anime and in the end just love it ^^

i dunno why u guys thought the ending was horrible but I loved the ending. it's prolly one of the best endings i've seen

definitely one of the best drama anime, great story and characters except for takayuki. I didnt felt right with the ending but there was no other way it would turn out.

ah man this was a great anime, love the story and i wish i could play the game, (they need to bring it out in english /-_-\) its like one of the first fansub series i started watching along with onegai twins and maburaho (after i discovered that u can download fansubs for free, screw u guys who ever sold me kanon on ebay! Yeah I've seen that list on Animenfo -- #1?? I know it was a great anime and it was actually one of the first anime I have seen that has nothing to do with some kind of action adventure theme, but #1? Not in my book. If you look at the actual average rating, you see that Rurouni Kenshin Reminiscence is higher than KGNE with an average of 9.6 vs 9.5 respectively. The rating system that they use takes into account the number of reviews and then creates a weighted average. This plays a huge role in their rating system. Number 15 on their list is One Piece, which has the same average rating as KGNE, but KGNE has 321 reviews while One Piece has 119 reviews. This accounts for the #1 position of KGNE. Don't get me wrong, I like this anime alot. It had a good story line, with good characters that were well developed considering the length of the series, but I just can't get myself to see it at as #1. Could be just me who feels that way, but in any case I suppose the masses have spoken.

well... every anime has it's own unique aspects. kgne has deep story/character development + the romance involved and others has their different genres and attributes. most girls who watched this anime, i would think, would rate kgne #1.... and considering it's popularity, i guess it deserves the place. although i wouldnt rate kgne on top of my list, it's still a masterpiece the way i see it.

i didn't like the ending but i think if it ended any other way it would have been too predictable

i find the ending to be okay...

they didn't get the two friends(haruka and mitsuki) back together again

the series is all serious (main story) overall
so liked it in that aspect
