Ok, i was bored and deicded to count up exactly how much anime i have, and I'm stunned... when i 1st came to A-S as a anime noob i was shocked with the sizes of ppl's collections, now im equally shocked with the amount I have 
Here's the breakdown:
68.60 GB - Unburnt / on-going series
5.94 GB - AMV's
3.46 GB - Manga
6.77 GB - Anime related music
2.66 GB - Uncompleted torrents (Kenshin TV and One Piece)
44.00 GB (Estimated figure) - 11 Burnt DVD's
86.40 GB (Estimated figure) - 128 burnt CD's
---------
217.83 GB - TOTAL
oh yeah, and 17 retail anime DVD's...
I think i qualify to be called a hopeless worthless otaku

Haha, I'm too lazy to burn anime. I used to do it, lets see I got DBGT  , Trigun, Evangelion, Hellsing, Both Kenshin OVA series, oh and three seasons of Family Guy, <--- OWNED.
I also got about 5.5 gigs of AMV's and 2.6 gig's of manga. |

50 gigs of hgame/anime
spindle of 25 dvd of burnt anime
4 spindles of 200 cds of more anime
so wats that? 415-465 gigs?
that doesnt even scratch the surface of collections of several ppl i know

four 50cd spindles
two 100cd spindles
total burnt cds: 750
est: 512 GB
HD 1:42GB
HD 2: 58.5GB
approximately: 612 GB total
(and that's just what I have, this summer it'll get mixed with at least 200 more gigs)

442 x 700 MB CDs (not all of them are full of course)
= approx 300 gigs
+ 1 HD dedicated to anime = 80 gigs
So my collection is a modest 380 gigs. heh.

Mine is but a mere 70 gig. This is most of my Hard Drive I am in the process of buying a 160 gig hard drive. I would burn them to CD but to fit only 3 episodes per CD seems like a waste. Might get a DVD Burner once the prices drop too expensive right now.

2 overstacked 100 spindles and near full 50 spindleof cd-rs (need a workin dvd-r -_-)
~40-50 cds free floating that i havtn gotten around to organizing yet
43 gigs on HDD
2 store bought *gasp* DVD (bebop and millenium actress, good choices if i do say so myself
4.5 gigs of AMV
5 gigs of manga

| I've got about a 100 cds and about 40 dvd-rws. Also about half of my 100GB hdd space is stuff i haven't burned yet and 20gigs is anime osts. I don't burn stuff I wouldn't watch twice or fansubs (unless they come from dvds) so that saves me a lot of space... |

Heh, I can get 50 DVD-Rs for 59CND which is why I already have a little over 50 DVD-Rs of anime. And then I've got a 120GB hard drive dedicated to anime which is already full and another 120GB hard drive with ~50 gigs of anime. Can't wait till those 500GB Maxtor hard drives come out. |

Holy crappies, people here are true anime otaku's...I guess I'm a newbie compared to all yous =) which is fine with me, I'm an anime freak to my friends so it doesn't matter really. Anyway, I'm just going to estimate - a rough estimation:
12 GB on this computer of anime videos
53 GB on the other computer.
Around 300 anime songs
4 DVDs
174 burnt anime....maybe more?
ahh well...it's still insignificant compared to others...*eyes wide* |

and i thought i had a lot of anime
i got
300+ cd-r -> i think thats around 210 gig
around 90 gigs on hd
and about 10 gigs of manga
i got couple of ost's but don't know how much
-> all toogether around 310 gigs, would have much more if i had cable internet |

You could build a house out of all that. How much of it have you actually watched? Do you ever consider throwing any of it away? Have you ever considered having a marathon session with all of it? (Of course if you did you'd need approx. 184 cans of beer, 42 bottles of wine and 2 dozen bottles of spirits in order to last the 3 weeks of intense mind mushing!) |
