like/dislike any seiyuu?

i wonder if you guys pay attention to voice actors. i've been noticing that there are certain characters in animes i dont like and coincidently they turn out to be done by same seiyuu, so i think the way character speaks has a big influence on whether we like them or not.

Well, i've noticed a particular voice actor.
Megumi Hayashibara.

She's the voice actor or rather actress for most of my favourite characters.
Like, Ai Haibara from detective conan/ cased closed or Anna Kyouyama from Shaman King.

She sings many anime op and ed.
Eg. Shaman King's openings end endings...

Hmm... she's just great !

voice actors aren't a big concern for me. really, anyone with a voice can become a voice actor...period

I'm not sure about the newer voice actors out there, but in the beginning, I liked Megumi Hayashibara and probably still do. She plays her parts well and her voice isn't annoying to me. Plus, it didn't hurt that she had some good songs like the Neon Genesis Evangelion Opening Theme.

My top 10 favorite seiyu are:

1.Kawasumi Ayako: She has one of the most pleasant sounding voices I ever heard in anime. She usually does main heroine roles and characters that are very kind. If you pay any attention to seiyu at all, you probably know her. and if you watch lot of anime, chances are, you already heard her voice in several anime already.

2.Saito Chiwa: She has one of the best energetic voice. She often does little girl voices or tough angry girl voices.

3.Noto Mamiko: She sounds the same in pretty much every role she ever did, but I still like her shy type of voice.

4.Shintani Ryoko: Tennenboke girl! She does lot of roles for characters that are airheaded and accident prone.

5.Fukui Yukai: She started getting some attention for her voice acting career recently. She has kind of naive and innocent qualities to her voice, plus she's very pretty.

6.Nakahara Mai: She also has kind of energetic voice. You'll know her for her role in Mai-HiME as Tokiha Mai.

7.Kobayashi Sanae: She sings well and she can do so many different types of voices, her voice very versatile.

8.Shimizu Ai: I'm not sure how to describe her voice, it's very hard to explain other than the fact that I like it.

9.Yukino Satsuki: She's a very on demand seiyu, lots of roles. Her voice is another power voice, energetic one.

10.Sakamoto Maaya: As most of you already know, she's a singer. Her voice role is ok, but I like her for her singing voice.



To me seiyu selection has pretty big influence on whether or not I'll keep watching the series. So for me, watching a dubbed anime is unthinkable. Also I get very disappointed when a game is dubbed into English, I sometimes don't buy a particular game even if it's a good game. Just because they dubbed it.

I like Megumi Hayashibara, Rei Tanaka and Megumi Ogata the best.
Especially when Ogata does Izumi's voice in Full Moon...hyaaaaaaa~!
