Literally, baka means idiot. In the anime/manga world, it is usually used to depic a thick-head, someone who doesn't get it. A guy/girl who's too slow to realize the other one likes him/her.
I think the translator and/or editor of Salad Days left a lot of common expressions in romanji form on purpose. If you've watched enough subbed anime, you should not have any problem knowing what they mean. Sometimes the translated form is actually longer. Sometimes, there is no exact translation. If you could list some of those words you don't get here, maybe I can help. |

well i have no intention of rereading those chaps, so i dont need the translations
are there translations on the encyclopedia link??
o are the chaps with the same name the only ones with repeating chars from the previous chaps? |

No. If you pay attention to the names of the couples and their appearances, you will see that many of them reappear at later chapters, in other stories unrelated to them, as either friends of the protagonist of the moment, or supporting the protagonist in their quests... It's not important to any story to realize this at all. However, I like it when I get to see those characters after their deeds were done. It's a warm feeling to see how they are after the fact. |

| well it is kinda important cuz i will more or less likely get confused when i see them again and then my head will go spinning from not being able to distinguish them since some look so much alike |

Good points there about the protagonist appearance maybe i will continue reading it.

Good points there, since they are all done by the same person, so sometimes the different characters tend to look the same! |
