Salad Days

sadly enough for me I NEVER had any high school days. so this manga is kinda a downer for me(even though I LOVE it). I jumped right into college after one year of relaxing out of middle school.... I never got to have my SALAD DAYS..... Crying or Very sad

How come you skipped HS? did you take an accelaration exam? Man,what can i say? HS is the best part of being a teenager! College life is not bad at all though. Actually you can still experience those salad days in your college life, its not only in HS where you can exp. it. Not too late man.

yeah,something i feel kinda envy salad days.. too much coincidences in them
.. hell yeah, my high school isnt as lucky as that.. but, l always keep on smilling when l read it

All of the high schools I applied for declined me(I applied a little late due to family circumstances) and I got stuck in the worst high school in my city. I almost settled on going there but decided to tour it once first.

smelled like pee, half of the classes are "study rooms" in which nothing was accomplished, the dropout rate was over 65%, and saw not a SINGLE white person....

NOTE: not racist whatsoever, but im a white guy simply put and I would have been the ONLY white person there. I prefer not getting shot...

and oh yeah 2 murders and over 50 counts of assualt with a deadly weapon happened on the school premesis in the last year.

Thats why I never attended the school. That and Im a little egotistical(I believed I was entitled to much better, hell I jumped from 8th grade to college).

I didn't know that can be done. Coz here in the Philippines you can not step into college unless you graduate in HS.Grade school is about till 7th grade, other schools only have till 6th grade. then 4 years of HS. Only 4 years of experiencing salad days but its well worth it man! I wish i can go back to being a HS student hehehe!!! And if ever i can, i would hit on teachers instead of HS girls. Like hell i want to be charged of child molestation, or pedophelia hahahaha!!!

errr uhhh...yeah...........right...

I took a G.E.D. test and obtained my H.S. equivelency diploma on my own with no tutoring.

I took an 8th grade education and used it to get into college.

Yea im dah bomb...

(theres my ego for yeh)

I thought this was a really cute manga. I liked the various storylines and I think it's a series that guys and girls can both get into. Smile

I like this manga. Come to think of it, my high school life was boring. In my country there are 9 grades at primary school and then 4 grades at high school. Of course there are also gymnasiums but I studied at high school. Now I'm at college but it's hard to me, so I think I'm going to join work forces in my country very soon. Anyway. nothing like high school love or childhood female friends didn't exist. There was girls, but I was too shy to start anything and my parents used to be very strict. Now my parents aren't so strict but they are still strict. I really enjoy reading this manga even if I've already finished it. How can people meet, feel and ,in the end, live together. Be called moron, brat or monkey face and surprisingly get with one of the hottest chick of school. Fall accidentaly and touch girl's breasts and be punished, but unlucky forced to live in the next door and in the end there is wedding those two people. It doesn't matter how long it takes. The most important thing is that they are happy together.

Even though i did not really got the name, i think that it was one of the best manga to read.

Its love stories are so interesting that you never know how it is going to end. It show both the sad and happy ending of relationships, throughout the lives of young people.

The story that i found was the best was probably the story about death because it has one of the best and unexpected endings of all of the stories.

Unfortunately not all stories do finish but it leaves us with something to think about.

such a cute manga, Salad Days is, with its stories of love and romance... makes me want to read more.

Oh, and to crazy4manga, about the title:

"My salad days, when I was green in judgement, cold in blood, to say as I said then!"

Shakespear coined the phrase "salad days" in Antony and Cleopatra with the above quote. Esentially, one's 'salad days' are the days of one's youth, innocence, and inexperience.

Not too shabby, the manga. Much more realistic than most high-school themed mangas you can find and considering that I always wanted to read something about high school students, this is quite good.
