Can't play avi.

Sorry to take up your time but i can't play the new movie "The Place Promised in Our Early Days"...the windows media player says cannot find encoder but the movie plays without sound and the title on the "now playing" is in orange.... Crying or Very sad

Google for a program called "gspot"

It will decode the file and tell you exactly what codecs you need to run the video file and if you computer has it installed or not.

The sound is AC3, google that and download it. That should fix the sound.
