BTW I'm not sure I translated the episode title for Ep 2 correctly (I submitted that info to ANN)... So if anyone thinks its wrong please correct me. |
Episode 1 is wrong if you ask me...
疾風怒濤 【しっぷうどとう】 "storm and stress" is what I am finding in my dictionary. Though if you take the two compounds apart you get 疾風 【しっぷう】 which is the squall, gale, hurricane, fresh breeze part that can also be read as "hayate" (Where have we heard that one before? *Cough* FMA *Cough* Yebyosh's avatar *Cough*) and 怒濤 【どとう】 which by itself means high/surging waves or raging billows.

Yeah, I just took Bakafish's title for Ep 1... I guess they didn't know the meaning of that phrase... Japanese is indeed fun though... Combining random kanji can give you an actual meaning. That's why even college students don't understand what some Japanese poems mean... |

| so i was just checking out the new screencaps and realized that there are 3 reviews already on this show ---- all based on a single episode. while i thought that the first episode was rather amazing and will keep on watching, i really dont know if reviews based on 1 ep serve any purpose. perhaps the ppl that wrote them can update their reviews afterwards, else a year from now, those 1 ep reviews will mean little more than pigeon shite. |

| Well its shaping up to be a good show so i wouldnt be surprised it in a year the reviews didnt change much. Since the ratings are based on one ep though,i would have to somewhat agree since the show could plunge and turn into something bad. I have my hoped up anyways though cause if they learn from the mistakes of other anime then we could be dealing with an amazing show. |

Don't worry, while I am not partial to reviews of the show like that myself, yes reviews can be deleted and or edited at the writers request. As of now they are nothing more than a little write up for ppl to look at who are wondering if they should even bother with the first ep. or are on the fence about the series. |

Read the previous 15 or so posts and you'll see everyone's been comparing fansubs. _________________

Bakafish has very ugly subs and mediocre translation. Aoi or AF-F are the way to go. |

I totally forgot that they were actually throwing in English (?) already for the titles of the show...
Ep 1 looks something like Temperstuous Temperaments Ep. 2 was Redeye Reprisal (That font while stylish is a pain to read...) I wouldn't be surprised if those end up being the official English titles, though I have to wonder if they are doing the whole 2 name thing... (Since ep. 2's really doesn't match the Kanji to me...) Guess we'll just have to wait and see huh?
As for ep. 2, the short readers digest version this time.
A little too predictible for my tastes. I felt like I had seen the story about 50 other times elsewhere. (Though it wasn't awful, but still)
Fuu continuing to be cute and Jin's fight saved the ep. for me.
Almost shortest post EVER! |

Yeah, while I liked this and can tell that it will probably become one of my favs, the difference in quality between ep 1 and 2 is fairly noticeable unfortunatley (to me at least) :/ hopefully they will recover from this before the end _________________

| Heh, well you deff see where the money for the nice animation in ep 1 came from, ep 2 ^^. While it was an interesting ep, I think we got the point that the ugly guy got fire sticks thrown at him the first 3 times we seen it. It would of been nice to know WHY they actually did it, I'm sure it wasn't just because some one said "Look, that guy is ugly!! Lets throw fire at him!" |
