FIGHTING GAMES WHICH ONE IS YOUR FAVORITE

Which is your favorite Fighting game?!
I've played every single one of these games, i do mean every single one.
Over the period of 9 years that is.

I've been always impartial towards street fighters since its the first one.
SNK series really broadened my fighting game vision of Street Fighter
Marvel Vs Capcom (1+2) showed me those super jumps and crazy air combos i didn't like it much but it was fun for a while especially 2
Capcom vs SNKs was two original fighting games clashing while leaving out some of characters i wanted to see (Rose,Clark etc etc)
Soul Calibur was revolutionary in the fighting game industry because it was so complex and the jumping was merely to evade not to close in.
Tekken had the street brawling thing going for it and I loved using King's infinite grapple, it was cheap but it was funny when i pulled it off.
Guilty Gear is pretty much made me weak in all fighting games because i got used to the aerial dashes and absolute defense.
Samurai Showdown, IPPON!
SuperSmashBrothers = No Comment ( I think its a pretty weak fighting game as far as I'm concerned )
Dark Stalkers = Street Fighters with Mythical Evil Creatures and one of the first cat girls along with Morrigan
Virtual Fighter was pretty nice to me sorta like Soul Calibur but i didn't like the fact that blocks had no sound thus having me to break my guard too early and stuff.
Dead or Alive was some game i played with my white friend at one point in life just to see the wind from the stage lift up Kasumi's skirt.
I left out Naruto,DBZ and Melty Blood and that Elfen Lied one because i don't think anyone plays those as a real fighting game.

So far I'd go with Guilty Gear XX:Reload just because I kinda get don't know how to use every character in that yet. (Faust, Bridget, Eddie, Zappa, Testament, and Anji Moto)

Street fighter and tekken were the best fighting games i've ever played.

my vote goes to super smash brothers because it's a lot of fun

... and it's the only one i've played much Rolling Eyes

well in terms of fighting games, i like marvel vs capcom. variety of the attacks are pretty nice.

i didn't like MvC because it was kinda dumb sometimes to watch people play it....

Cable,Hyper Viper Beam!!!! Other Cable,Block
Other Cable,Up+HYPER VIPER BEAM!!! Chain 4 times...
Or the even more common...
Psylocke spiral cancel,magneto slides in,air combo,MAGNetIC TEMPEST!,Kick + MAGNETIC TEMPEST!
Even the...
Spiral,Swords + Swords + Swords + Metamorphsis = chip death har har.
see if everyone used that Cactus guy like me and shake maracas MvC2 would be a much happier place for me. Btw my favorite combo would be IceMan,Sakura(don't underestimate),Guile

I "liked" super smash brothers because i saw all my favorite characters go at it. (my favorite is probably Link(keep away projectile) followed closely by Kirby(no % damage block) and Donkey Kong "Slam+Clap combo")

Street Fighter + Tekken is a pretty awesome in their own element.
Street Fighter Two Tournament Edition was pretty fun with the 2/3 HP combo... (Jump Behind Hard Kick Trick,LowKick,medium Low kick,Jab,medium punch,down hard punch,Shouryuken(dragon punch)
Not gonna talk much about tekken because too many mix ups for to to compile into actual words.

Super Smash Bros. Melee for me. Soul Caliber and Virtua Fighter were pretty good also.

i honestly can't see how people can say super smash brothers...
even samurai showdown was awesomer. If you use hohomaru and did your batou no jutsu people would split in half and blood would spray everywhere.

I say Super Smash Bros. Melee, because out of all those games (that i've played... dunno about the others), Super Smash Bros is the easiest to just pick up and play (no super long button sequences for some combo), and is a party game, so instead of it always being one on one duels, you can also have a 4-way free for all. The single player mode may get old, but beating on your friends with a paper fan and a Koopa shell never does.
Soul Calibur 2 is a close second (cool characters, nice plot, etc.).
Honorable mention goes to Marvel vs. Capcom, because it's fun to be Tron (the girl from Megaman Legends) and send your legion of Lego Men robots with pirate hats to kill your opponent.

tis be true, what turns off most fighting games to normal people is the long attack sequences and memorization...
tis be true for me too, my mind is garbled by the mass of techniques and combos i know...
[edit]but it seems kinda biased though since it seems all smash brothers lovers happen to only play only 1 or 2 or none on that list...
ALL MY FAVORITES IS LOSING TO TO SSMB, i guess my games aren't popular.

I would have to go with the Guilty Gear series because of it's unique approach to the genre. The rock overtone and furious gameplay make it a pulse-pounding experience when playing against an experienced player.

The Soul Calibur series is also up there on my list because of it's great use of weapons, without leaving the bare-fisted fighters behind.

I loved the guilty gear story and style. The characters there show more personality then most other fighting games while the artwork is fluid and fighting is fun. The extras added on to each successive game allow for more playtime and an all around better game.
