Guilty Gear for me.
Soul Calibur second.

I Smash brothers is fun, but i view it more as a party game than a fighting game.

if halo2 multiplayer vs mode is considered a fighting game, then that will be my choice, if not, marvel vs capcom2

I'll take Mortal Kombat anyday, although Smash Bros. is a close second.

Soul Calibur(1&2) is a pretty fun game besides the fact in the learning curve

xxx/ = Expert, you can beat everyone except the people in your rating.
xx/ = Novice, you can't beat anyone. (learning)
x/ = Newbie, You can beat novices though! (scrubbing)

i had in embraced pretty well, i was breezing with Raphael's -> BBB attack which worked fine until i decided to work in some kind of patterned attack where i got killed... badly
Finally i got the hang of everything and realized what Raphael could do and started to play agressively, and when they counter i use the Rotation thingy to counter.
Then finally the game got old and i stopped playing....
Guard Impacts were fun especially when you reverse them.

Anyways to provide you with something that you can beat your friends
on SOUL CALIBUR 2
1) Choose Talim
2) this might be a little confusing but...
3) B,B,K starts a combo hit forward and keep hitting kick, if you are in the middle of an arena with Ring Outs you can probably beat them just like that
4) the problem is its fairly easy to block so i came up with an even more devilish combo

1)Choose Talim
2)Hold Down(this is called 8 way run!) and hit B
3)This should launch your opponent, so press forward
4)Spam K
5)Same principle as the first plan but this one requires a little more timing
6)The trick is to use (8 way run) to evade the attack and counter and this move shall never fail you.

Note:Don't do this in arcades people get mad when they lose their money in 14 seconds.

Virtua Fighter has depth that no other fighting game can match. Of course, I never had the talent to take full advantage of that depth. Wink

indeed virtual fighter 4 evo is very deep and it rivals soul calibur 2. its well understood in the gaming industry.

however i didnt play enough evo because i played soul calibur and now its tekken 5.
sooo no vf4 for me.
has anyone attempted the Talim Ring Out combo i posted earlier?
It works when i do it I'm wondering if anyone else can pull it off.

Street Fighter has the best characters and the coolest moves. My favorite of them all is super street fighter 2 turbo.

I always use charater: Dizzy (I know it's funny but strong)
Thank god, I beat all missions includes sercets mission.

Now I can enable gold charater or heal during fighting or whatever I want. =D

I think the best fighting game is tekken cause there arent any shooting moves like Hadoken or something just kicks and punches or COMBOS!
And i think you have forgotton one game it's Mortal Kombat i think that MK is a preety cool fighting game too!!

most of you guys must be pretty young i guess. didnt get to see the arcade age in its full fighting glory?? well for me its simple. SNK and CAPCOM all the way. sf3ts, sf alpha 2&3, ssf2tX, KOF97&98, SS2, garou MOTW, REALBOUT1,2&special, last blade 1&2. CVS1&2.

tekkens are average, soul caliber is better. moratl combats are weak(only good one was 2) guilty gear is a bad sowdown ripoff. but its still pretty decent.

damn finally i see another arcade supporter... i was a hardcore kof fan, though not really good at it... had all the roms (94-03) on my pc (deleted them after my comp had a bit of a problem) and really enjoyed them, thought the game is getting worse in recent years... but kof max impact on ps2 was great...

I play many of the SF's on arcade as well as some KOFs but i didn't like playing them so much because i was much more interested in Samurai Showdown, and using Hohomaru to cut down that annoying green guy in half. God i loved chopping things in half in that game. KOF was funny because you can rip King's shirt off. I didn't see Garou:Mark of the Wolves show up much mainly because very few arcades care and only get the CvS and the MvCs. The new fighting arcade game is CvS:Chaos and Tekken 5. I played Chaos and it really disappointed me because even CvS had better pixelation and graphics and as well as a better engine.
Btw, Guilty Gear XX and Isuka was on arcade

I'm very disappointed that so many people consider Super Smash Brothers a game worthy of being in a tournament. Don't get me wrong here I never base judgement on something i don't know and I do know this quite well.
(I saw it when i was snooping around a game tournament site)

Tekken 5 isn't good because there isn't projectiles. Its because of the scrambles and mixup combos. Thats why you can jump very high or at all. Though i do have a big problem with the air combo thing with the keep in the air jabs, looks so messed up.

Btw, Guilty Gear XX and Isuka was on arcade, you're just not current old man. (all in great fun [bad187] and i believe you are refering to SSB)

Street Fighter Series: Best was the SF3

SNK Series: Garou:Mark of the Wolf

Marvel vs Capcom alright but could be better

Capcom vs SNK was a failure

Soul Calibur Series was fun for just a while

Tekken was the same as Soul Calibur

Guilty Gear the best and winner for me

Super Smash Brothers nothing special

Virtual Fighter I disliked
