FIGHTING GAMES WHICH ONE IS YOUR FAVORITE

it's a tough one...can't really say which one is good, since the poll requires us to like the whole series

I like Tekken, but only since #2, Tekken Advance in GBA is awful...

Soul Calibur series are splendid, but there's too much similarity in terms of moves between the characters (Sophitia=Lizardman, Kilik=Seung Mi na), which spoils the originality of the game. The new character creation feature is not that great since you don't get the freedom to edit the movesets and the character's physical appearance (can't make characters with giant/midget build)

I like KoF games, but it turns out badly since 2K1, Neowave is just a mere palette swap of 2K2 with new backgrounds, the new boss geese is rather cheap than innovative. KOFXI looks promising though...

As for SF (and DS), I can only say that the series suffers too much minor upgrades from time to time (remember SF2 and SF3?) but Third Strike is cool

I like GG's designs and heavymetal music, but I really despise GG: Isuka for its confusing mechanics/gameplay

DOA's visual is beautiful but it's quite annoying to find the game keeps exploiting the female characters rather than improving its fighting mechanism (to some people, the DOA series are just mere counter-fest)

MK series have always been a revolutionary one with its brutal and gory theme, but it turns out to be rather ridicullous in its third installment (MK3 and UMK3)

Im loving Soul Calibur 3, and though it isnt perfect, the new character creation systems pretty cool, especially as you unlock new weapon sets and suck. Its fun to play as your character against a friends.

Though I love Marvel vs Capcom 2. Its just so much fun. Plus it has a whole slew of amazing fighters.

i played most of those games as well and guilty gear has stood out as my favourite for some reason even i don't know... hahaha...

Hands down, SSBM. You can't beat the randomness of it. You cannot play the same game of Smash twice, and there's still new stuff around the corner...

Also, Soul Calibur series... I liked Link being in SCII, especially with the Mirror Shield and Biggoron Sword!

I'd have to say the Street Fighter series. The new ones are all fun and good in and of themselves, but Street Fighter started it all. While there were games coming before it, the original (only Ken and Ryu available) led to more Street Fighter games, which led to bigger and better games with crazy attacks. Marvel vs Capcom and X-Men vs Street Fighter had the huge screen instead of being limited to the TV size.

Also Capcom vs. SNK because SNK put up a good competition against Street Fighter, and I like them both equally (SNK characters are more fresh and new for me, since I knew Street Fighter longer)

Also Guilty Gear is good. I dislike 3D fighting games because it is very different style and dynamics and engine. The only 3D game I mastered was DOA2.

i would have to say super smash bros because that game you can be like any nintindo character and not have to stay with one seris of characters
smash bros have mario, and pickachu
dbz have goku, and dabura

guilty gear is the best, speed fighting, button mashing and accurate timing is needed in this game. I've played this game until my finger are numb just to fight with gold sol badguy... this game is great!! Very Happy
