I just read all the Gantz manga that was posted here....omg its soo gory and soo much puke...but it is super COOL....now im gona get the anime...

I just start reading Gantz recently.. in anime-source site here.
Up to a certain chap n start request for lvl 3 Crying or Very sad

If the latest chapter still haven't point out the reason why Gantz picked up dead people, U can refer to MIB (Men In Black); the two main character needed to cover their identity in order not to terrify the normal citizens for their mission.
The same theory applied here, as Gantz picked up this "Undead", they thoeritically appeared died, missing or just a slip of temporary disappearance; which makes things easy to work as they are sort of disposable soldiers. {makes me a cruel commander Laughing

}

Chapter 185 was even more stretched than the last one but it opens some interesting possibilities...

The whole thing seems like just a different way to continue the manga despite Kurono getting lots of points, as well as make bringing back dead characters possible. It also shows what Izumi has to accomplish by getting a 100 points - getting the "extremely powerful weapon". Though that still doesn't explain why he's in such a big hurry to get lots of points since there's no way he could have known about that after having his memory erased the first time around...
Anyway, looks like Kurono will have to choose between:
a) big boobs
b) shallow girlfriend
c) Katou

For chapter 185,
I fail to get what you mean by Izumi trying to attain the most powerful weapon by getting 100 points... As far as what I see, I see him only trying to surpass Kurono in the game. He refuse to believe that such a 'weak' person could be better than him in a game that he hungers for. That is why he keeps aiming to surpass Kurono, so his goal is simply to get the 100 points ahead of Kurono. What rewards there are and what he will choose is simply secondary to that.

Which brings us to the interesting thing...

What drove Izumi to select the option to forget everything and leave the game, especially since he express such hunger?

My own speculation is that Izumi was of course the main man in the past gangs. Just like Kurono however, he likely had some close buddies among the previous participants as well, and just as likely some of them died. Now I dare say that Izumi likely picked the option to resurrect them for the first few times. The results and consequences were however something that left him shattered and in the end, drove him to select option 1. The excitement the hunt infuses him and his innate nature ( way, way before he participated in Gantz since supposedly the memories are wiped ) however left him still wanting to go back.

Now if that is true, then Kurono would learn the hard facts Izumi previously learned and it should be an interesting affair to watch.

Of course it could also be as simple as it was presented, simply that Kurono would resurrect Kato and then both go on to resurrect their girls or Kurono resurrect Tae first, then Kato and blah blah blah.

i cant wait for the next chapter. and at the same time, i wish the series would end with a non-vague conclusion.

there's only 26 eps (minus that one ep) so far in the anime right? im guessing there's gonna be a third season?

There will never be a third season for the anime, unless Gonzo decides to do a "Oh, haha, the last 8 episodes were just a dream."

Man this series rocks i have read up to 184, and i cant wait to read more of it, i just wish i could read it all at once, I really reccomand this series to anyone who like violence and action, witha good plot.

thats too bad. or not. i like the anime cuz it was... animated. superpowers look better animated. plus the japanese morning aerobics song sounds funny when its sung... not when read. only reason i like the manga better is cuz its longer?

i kno it doesnt belong on this thread but can anyone tell me wat happens in ep 25 and 26 of the anime?
