What do you mean, "get the meaning"?
I mean, I am a fountain of information when it comes to the Crono Trigger/Cross saga, but you have to explain things first.
I feel like I have to keep repeating myself over and over to people who don't eloborate when they ask a question. |

| you have to understand chrono trigger before u play chrono cross. Its more of a sequel. Instead of wandering in different time lines, u play 2 alternative dimensions. ie parallel worlds. If I reveal anymore then spoilers will have to be imposed. |

i'll give you the proper explaination
Chrono Trigger, when Chrono dies or something he needed a Chrono Trigger to bring him back. Thus Chrono Trigger, and also being that you trigger things in time.
Chrono Cross, is when you start crossing dimensions that means moving from like to time like crossing the road
its pretty simple, kinda sad you didn't pick that up, they say it everytime they have a chance in the story. |

You don't have to understand Crono Trigger at all before you play Chrono Cross, the only place the two games converge is a small blip on the story radar.
The two games have basically nothing to do with each other, only a small thread ties the two together. |

Ugh... Chrono Cross disappointed me so much... only three or four of your characters ever really get developed, despite the fact that there are forty or so to recruit in the game. The story doesn't really kick in until MUCH later in the game - there's a little bit at the beginning of the game, but then it just sorta gets put on hold for ten or so hours. The battle system was okay, it just took a little longer then I'd like for regular enemies (and I fear any white element boss), but if I'm not a fan of the story and characters, no battle system will save a game for me. I hate to be the one jerk that hates the game that everyone else loves, but here I have to be honest: I wish I had my money back. Sorry, CC fans.
PS: Chrono Trigger was AWESOME though. |

That pretty much sums my opinion as well.
Although, the fact that the main character in Chrono Trigger had no dialogue was a little funny. I guess they were trying to avoid giving him any personality, so that the player could BE him. |

lol, thats a funny outlook on it, i always figured they were too damn lazy to give him anything to say. I played CT, its one of my favorite RPGs, and am thinkin about getting CC, but ive heard from alot of people it just doesnt come to the standerds of its prequel. |

Both main characters were silent. Also the fact that you had so many charcters gave the player the ability to choose which ones they like more and allows them to use that character unlike other rpgs that stick you with characters that you might not enjoy. Also, it adds replay value to the extra endings. Both games were great and deserve proper recognition |
