ok...this is quite a very old game....but it's one of the best RPG out in 2000 on PS1....

has anyone played this excellent RPG from Tri-ace? some of the characters here are used on Star Ocean 3....

Yes!!! Best rpg in PS1 *(next to FF7, FF8, FF9, FF Tactics). I love Norse mythology! The whole concept is great!

The game was challenging, if you choose the hard mode to get the whole story, but I don't like the chopped up storyline. In reality, if you take out the dungeons and introduction of each playable characters, the game's storyline is pretty short. If you can find the VP manga you'll understand what I mean.

I haven't got the VP manga but...even if I have it...I won't understand all of it....since my Jaoanese is on the neginner's level only...and no Kanji's for me.

Very good game, I'm a fan of the musics.

But it's true that if you haven't the good ending, the story line is very poor.

Rahhh, I've just read the VP manga. I don't like it, the story is already short in the game, but the autor managed to shrink it more Smile

I didn't found the atmosphere the game had.
So, my advice is : if you can, don't read the manga, play the game...

Played the game so many times to get the damn Angel Slayer.. The only i didn't finish is the voice collection which is so cool. I even recorded the soundtrack into mp3s.

I heard a rumour that Square-Enix is releasing Valkyrie Profile after finishing FF7 Advent Children.

me too, i believe there's an old anime based off this called UFO Princess Valkeyrie(Warukure in Japglish)

I've only seen pictures of this game but never new it was a game. I like the drawings and its seems to be my type of game. I love the Norse Myths. btw I think they should make this into an anime

I so wanted to get this game, but I can't find any copies (used or new) at my local game stores. I heard from my friend that the game is about $60 online. I have yet to confirm his statement, but I am assuming that he is correct. I am still debating inside whether to ditch my hopes of getting the game, or asking my parents to dish out the $60 to get it for me. Since you guys seem to know a lot about the game, do you guys recommend me getting the game (keeping in-mind the price of it)?

I would actaually recomend getting it 60$'s is i a big sum for a PS1 game but it's a dam good game and considering the horrific shortage of good RPG's being made to day It's worth going after
