| It takes up most of my time at home. So the usually time I watch T.V. or play games. They filled it up and I do say it has made my life a little better. |

Well some people watch soap operas, or Seinfeld or The-I-don`t-know-what-show - I watch anime .......... so if you look at it that way, I don`t really think it changed my life, it just made the things I watch a little different and a bit more expensive |

Anime gave me the drive to learn Japanese. I'm not totally fluent, but I learned everything from anime. I like to eat at a Japanese themed restaurant called Osaka. I know a Japanese woman who sometimes cooks okonomiyaki for me (awesome stuff)
Yeah, I think on a really large scale view, anime has changed me. I believe people who watch anime are much more open minded than those who refuse to "because it is stupid to watch cartoons when you're xx years old" Let me add.....I *hate* people with that point of view. _________________

Anime has changed my life by giving my meaningless life meaning, and changes my personality on people and everything around me. Paranoia Agent showed me what i would be like tripin on Acid. Pretty Face showed me not to get in a bus accident and get picked up my sum perv doc. |

Yes, for a few reasons:
1. Community--the anime club was one of the first places I connected with people at college, and various anime communities, like this one, have been a source of support over the years.
2. It's a bit like a happy pill: when I really don't feel like dealing with life, anime is usually a bit escapist since the situations are so far off from normal life or they're normal life but in a way that's good.
3. It's a crying excuse: if I get reallly depressed and want an excuse to cry, I just watch something really sad.
4. Thinking: There's a strong "I'll never give up" mentality that runs through a lot of animes, shoujo and shounen alike, that's rather inspiring, not to mention the idea that anime can open your mind a bit to the viewpoints of others. _________________ One of the old fogies of A-S. These above made me a lot weirder, and they influence my style of novels a lot... And I start to like Gothic stuff too. _________________ I don't want to kill you, so you better don't make me do what I hate to do... |
