hard drive problems

it's not too hard to put in a hard drive but you may want to consider external if it's just to archive stuff and if you want it to be easily removable.
i like external drives because i can just unplug them and take to a friends place to share stuff
(although my friends and I were doing that with internal drives when we were 9 and 10 years old Wink

so it's no biggie for me to pull internals heh)

price is the biggest consideration. check http://www.NewEgg.com
they have probably the best prices... although if you hit BestBuy and get a good set of instant rebates you can do pretty well, too.

or you could build you're own external HD by buying an internal and a casing...... its cheaper but it won't be as cool or be Fire-wire powered (i.e. it needs an external power source.) cheaper is good though....

btw: The uber-expensive Sony headphones I bought for sound engineering and practicing guitar (yeah right, more like for having a rich soundscape when watching anime at 12am) came with a warning about the magnets... I can honestly say I wasted a credit card or 2 with those, but a hard drive seems unlikely since i keep my mp3 next to them all the time....
