This was an alright movie... the preview made it look so much more interesting than the real movie. The graphics were good looking but then again it looked kind of weird.

It was soo... sooo shinny! i must say the art form taxed my eyes as almost every surface was reflective. Found myself beggin for the sun to set. Overall a decent movie, tho i still like Innocence more.

yes i agree i also reckon they overdid the art but the only reason i got it was so i can watch the fight scences because they looked well made

Has this movie been released in the US? Trying to figure out if I should keep my eyes open for a fan-sub online or if I can expect to see it in stores. Bad story or not, I'd watch it once for the computer animation. After watching Final Fantasy, I think that was all that made it worth watching. But I still enjoyed looking at it.

It actually just came out in select theatres last week across the US. I wanted to go see it but didn't want to drive 2 hours into Oakland. Hopefully it will come out on DVD soon.

Yeah it came out. And it didn't do very well. The limited showing of Ghost in the Shell 2 did 'much' better.

The movie was okay. I really didn't know much about Appleseed besides the short OVA they showed on the Encore Action channel a few years ago. The graphics were done well considering it was CG going for a hybrid anime-esque look.

It'll probably come out on DVD late-spring to summer.

I'm glad that it did badly in theatres. I was rolling my eyes when I saw the pitiful attempts of the US distributors to generate a lot of hype for this mediocre at best movie.
I hope it won't sell well on DVD either Smile

I've watch it and it's a good anime movie with a almost perfect animation....it's animation almost better than GITS innocent,macross zero and final fantasy:the spirit within...

I really liked the style, and the plot was better than most it got two thumbs up in my book.

I liked the graphics and sort of the plot too but I really wouldn't put my money on this, unless your upsessed with great graphics and cool methods and camera angles. Smile
