Coloring in pics on photoshop

Hey i've been drawing some various pics for awhile and i wanna move onto the next dtage which is coloring it in on the computer. I have a tablet if that makes a difference and i want to know what are some ways to do this and how do u get the higlighting and what not. Also can someone give me the color for the skin since i can;t seem to find it. Thnx a ton

Do you have any digital programs installed on your computer? Most people use these programs to start cg with...

If you have a tablet, it most likey came with applications like painter limited edition (?) You can start with that by first scanning in your artwork (lineart perferably if you want to just start coloring first) then try and work with that with the program. The only downfall I can think of is that since it's limited version you wont be able to use layers.. but you can still manage to color over your picture if you're carefull.

As for colors the program should also have built in pallets that you can pick from. If you want the exact color you can always printscreen (PriSc key) then paste it in to the program (in a new/different file) and 'pick up' the color using the eyedrop tool. Highlights and shadows need to be studied if you want it to be 'accuate' for a lack of better term. You should know the basics; like where the lighsoruce should be in order to find the shadowns etc.

oh good yeah, I was wondering which program you were going to work with. Photoshop is great; I always tend to use it for cell type coloring.
