which anime with the best story line + meaningful?

i've watched few anime but all of them seemed to hav repeated the same thing especially fighting anime like Naruto , Dragon Ball ect. All they do is fight n fight till one of them die or got injured...damned not story at all . Giv me some anime title that is not realted with fighting all the time

If you want anime that'll give your brain a run for it's...brain money, then watch FLCL. It's one of my favorites of all time.

If we talk animes that are purely suppose to be a psychological, philosophical, religious experiences then NGE wins. Plus Asuka rocks my world.

- Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien (drama & romance)
- Planetes (sci-fic & romance... i guess)
These animes have very good plot & meaningful.

Those are dramas. Check out my reviews if you want in depth information, plus my jaded remarks. I would add more, but the others are mostly insane so I won't tramautize you yet. ;P

on the surface it looks like another girl fighting alien anime but there's much more than that.

Is Planetes anime any good? I love the manga but I hear the anime is crap.

Full Metal Alchemist(I've only seen the subbed, I dont know what the dubbed cartoon network version is like)
Akira(Very emotional, made me hate the govt a little after that)
Bebop(The whole Spike and Vicious thing)
Kenshin(Kyoto Arc had the best story)
