Pastel vs. Parallel

K, i got these mangas from AW site. Both of them r very similiar to each other. Actually i'd say pastel is a rip off of parallel.
Parallel: Nekota is an ace in baseball and he likes Hoshino, his soon to be step-sis. BOth of there parents r in the orchestra so they travel a lot and taht leaves nekota and hoshino in the same house. Its pretty fun.

Parallel: Pretty similiar to parallel. Mugi is working part time at his friend's store in order to forget bout his ex when he runs into yuu. they go out for a night then yuu left to go back home. Mugi decide to chase yuu down no matter. When he got home, yuu n his sis were alrdy there. They will b living together under the same roof since mugi's dad ask them to live with mugi after yuu's father pass away.

If it makes you feel any better since they are both by the same author he is only ripping himself off... ^^;

I think Parallel was his first attempt at that kind of story and when he finished it he decided to do a re-telling of sorts that cleans things up that he could have done better in Parallel.

Thus we get Pastel. (Which has already far surpassed Parallel in volumes of manga that are out) I haven't really spent much time on it myself (My friend is hooked though...) though I must admit the girls he draws are pretty cute.

(Buying the books at Animate is kind embarrasing though... some of those covers he draws are VERY ecchi and if you get a girl cashier, even though she isn't saying anything, you KNOW what she is thinking...) ^^;;;

lol specky, yea i just realize that there by the same artist. hoshino ad yuu looks extremely closely related huh.

I've read the first vol of pastel and i like it and if the other one is similar i think i will like that too

dont wrry dood, im sure ull like it. Its extremely close to each ohter. Pastel is like the extended version of Parallel. 2 bad AW is a bad slow on scanning/translating but who cares ^^

parallel is already finished and pastel is a new manga from the same mangakun

but yea...LOTTA things that are identical...like that bathroom scene.

how many vols are there in pastel so far?

Anyway, I have read KOR and I's .. andI liked both quite a bit. What are other good manga that are just as you, I guess romantic comedies, that I can check out

there are currently 7 volumes of pastel but aw only has vol 2 chap 11 so far. U can try Lilim kiss if u want. Its a lil bit short though. For more manga, i have to look at my laptop. i got a lot of them but none come to mind right now. Sad

Yeah i like Pastel too! i mean finally a romance/comedy that doesnt involve more than 2 girls...and this guy isnt such a loser..well maby a lil.. but not like Junpei (ichigo 100%) and ichitaka(I"S)...Ugh.. i wanted to hit them soo hard... lol but mugi is a much better character.. and if parallel is what you guys say it is i wanna read that too! im a noobie when it comes to mangas.. the only mangas ive read so far are the ones from this site.. lol so sad.. anywayz.. does anyone have good recommendations for a must read romantic/comedy?

I like both really, Too bad that parallel was so short, I hope Pastel atleast goes to 5+ volumes
