dv>> that bad eh...
I haven't gotten my hands on it yet... wait till I have enough time to scrounge it up somewhere...
I think it is a requirement in Canada or at least in BC to have at least a government issued health insurance... _________________

In Hungary everyone is insured by the government. Healthcare is often low quality, but at least it's available for everyone. In the US there's a lot of people without medical help and even those who have insurance can end up losing it. _________________ Dv |

@Dv
So you've seen Sicko then? I tell you what... some of the things the health insurance companies do is just down right inhumane. To deny someone the life-saving treatment they need, so their company hits their monthly rejection targets is just... disgusting.
I would recommend watching the movie to anyone remotely interested/involved in healthcare. Some of it may be typically OTT Michael Moore propaganda, but it's mostly true. That fact in itself is disturbing. _________________ Click Here For My Anime List

Inhumane and disgusting indeed...
It's all about profit there, while here we are thought that healthcare is a "losing business". There'se nothing that can change this. The loss can be minimalized but that's all that can be done. It must be compensated from other sources. _________________ Dv |

yeah I know what you mean. healthcare is an expensive business and that's what it's all about.
But I don't think I could rest easy at night, knowing that a sizable portion of my income is through charging ridiculously high prices. $120 for an inhaler?? WTF.
Even though European/UK doctors/healthcare workers don't earn as much as their US counterparts, at least it's compensated by the government (just like you said). _________________ Click Here For My Anime List

Yeah, its 120 bucks for an inhaler here as well... but then depending on your plan which is government based, you can get that for free...
I like how depending on your income, you get corresponding coverage for it...
so ideally, it should be the higher your income the more you pay for your medical bills, but then with private insurances coming in, the rich are starting to not pay for anything, the poor don't pay anything for a number of meds they direly need though not all, and the middle class have to pay the whole brunt of things... _________________

Hey there guys...
My biggest failing is not being consistent with my postings. I can post for a week, then work and other matters get in the way and I disappear for days on end.
The result... this topic dies.
I don't think I'll try to give much needed CPR to this threa, so we'll declare it Dead On Arrival for now. _________________ Click Here For My Anime List

can't do much about that, we do have our own lives to live...
what we need is a good topic to keep this thing going... though it can't be just any other topic, cause that will be reserved for the LTE...
discuss something about your geographic area... the downside of that for me is that I might not be able to relate... _________________

Well the only thing going on in the U.K that actually concerned me was the whole knifing issue pretty old news.... though I don't like to moan and complain about the issues in the U.K there's nothing I can do about it but, read/watch about them.
I'd rather hear about where your from far more interesting to me...
In any case has anyone hear heard of the "worm lady"...? _________________ [img:460:140:921061a6b7]http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/5557/pictureperfect.jpg[/img:921061a6b7] |

dv>> apparently enough to severe the head off...
there is not much detail on the incident as of yet since it just happened yesterday... but yeah, witness accounts said guy just started stabbing away... and then when the passengers got out of hte bus in a panic, the guy came up to the front of the bus, holding the guys head up looking like he was in a daze and then just dropped the head on the bloody floor... _________________

The worm lady is something I saw in a film but, my brother said it happens in real life so it scares the crap out of me...
The worm lady is actually human but is turned in to one....
1. they cut out your tounge
2. they cut off your lips
3. they sow your mouth closed
4. they cut off your eyelids
5. they chop of your arms
6. they chop off your feet
7. they chop off your breasts
8. they rip off your flesh
9. they display you at a freak show carnival and keep you alive as long as possible
I googled the wormlady to see if it actually happens but, I couldn't find anything...
Xyristan you might want to see the movie....
The knifing that took place in the U.K was a kid not sure how old I'd say 13 - 15 and it happened all because of a dirty look. _________________ [img:460:140:921061a6b7]http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/5557/pictureperfect.jpg[/img:921061a6b7] |
