Based on what witness have said, he was stabbed about 50-60 times. Although I say that number might be exaggerated but still quite gruesome. One of those situation where you think will never happen to you. And yeah, this morning I heard reports of the attack (a 40 year old man) had eaten parts of the body.

gen>> sounds like a thriller movie...
though I'm pretty sure it has been done somewhere somehow... behind closed doors and away from the publics sensitive stomach...
as much as it is a shocker to here of the beheading, its not something I am over shocked about... I have been hearing beheadings in this modern day and age even when I was in the Philippines...
like that one news I know where a bunch of guys stabbed, skinned and burned to death this other dude and to hide evidence and keep everyones mouth shut, they ate the charred body of the dude... _________________

So, what's up with everyone?
I've started my toughest year at the university. It's said that if you survive it then you're sure to graduate. I hope it's true.
At the end of the year I'll have 3 comprehensive exams (or at least something very similar to that). Anatomy(anatomy, histology, embryology), biochemistry and physiology. It won't be easy... _________________ Dv |

Hey there Dv
Well, you're still a student, so that means you're still doing something right.
I've been working now for just over a month and I tell you, it'll make you think twice about being a doctor.
When the time comes, read up on Acute Renal Failure... it's every Junior Doctor's worst nightmare. One that nearly cost my patient's life and my career.
On the other hand, I was shocked with some truly surprising news. Himitsu invited me to be a member of the review team here on A-S. I glady accepted _________________ Click Here For My Anime List

good for you teren...
ah yes, the responsibilities of being in the medical field does make quite an impact on how you do and view things... I know in some of my dealings that if I eff up there could be an obituary notice on next days news paper... _________________

Terentius: Seeing Your reviews I'm not surprised at all.
Btw, I worked a month too in the summer as a nurse at a surgery. I know it's nowhere near being a doctor but I've seen what's it like. It's tough. _________________ Dv |

Morning (almost afternoon) guys.
Yeah, the responsibilites are something that we must never be complacent with. Just mis-prescribing one drug could be the end of them.
One of my colleagues nearly gave a patient a penicilliin, despite the warnings on her notes that she'll go into anaphylaxic shock. It's not the sort of thing you want to see at 3.00am on a night shift.
But aside from that, things are pretty OK. As long as I have 3 hots and a cot, I'm happy
The reviews are something that drew me to A-S in the beginning and it's something that I'm coming to terms with. I never thought that I'd be asked to join, so the invite was out of the blue for me.
I'll probably start fulfilling my 'duties' when I start my night shift this weekend. It's amazing how much I can fit in with an hour or so of free-time. _________________ Click Here For My Anime List

Apologies for the late reply.
I've been working like a dog this entire week and I'm currently having a quiet moment during my weekend night shift (Fri, Sat and Sun - 7.30pm to 7.30am).
So I've been catching up writing anime reviews, and browsing the forum.
3 hots and a cot... that's just what some soldiers describe their living arrangements.
Namely:
3 hots = 3 hot meals a day
Cot = Bed to sleep at night.
If you've played Gears of War, Marcus Fenix uses this to describe his life in prison, before the locust horde come storming in, f@cking up the place. Can't wait for the second game coming out this November! _________________ Click Here For My Anime List

LOL... that's what i've been doing for the entire past 6 days! I've been on my annual leave, so I've been taking it very easy and chilling. I'm still paying off my credit card and debts, so even though I had wanted to, I couldn't afford a nice holiday in the sun.
It's back to work tomorrow, and even though it's not quite a night shift, it's close to it.
5.30pm - midnight for 5 days _________________ Click Here For My Anime List

Life is hard...
Mid-term exams have started.
Next week: Neuroanatomy, biochemistry and physiology.
p.s. Sorry for the late response. _________________ Dv |
