"escribe en cuaderno de notas"
escribe → verb first person/singular
down→ expresions like "write down", "sit down", "stand up", etc. transalated literally in spanish are redundant, doesnt make sence. thats why the word "down" in your sentence was ignored. just translating the verb (writes, sits, stands, etc) is enough to understand the sentence, but you have to sure that in your translation the subject's gender and number are in concordance with the verb's gender and number

wrong! "nombres" is plural (names), "es" is singular (is), you see??? you have to take care of those lil details
the correct form is: mi nombre es Minyung
most of the times to make a word from singular to plural you add an "s" at the end of the word
ex:
-papa (potatoe/singular) → papas (potatoes/plural)
-ropa (clothe/singular) → ropas (clothes/plural)
-persona (person/singular) → personas (people/plural)
-nombre (name/singular) → nombres (names/plural)
because of this, most of the time when a spanish speaker wants to learn english he/she gets confused on singular and plurals coz some singular verbs have "s" at the end, like in: writes, speaks, draws, walks. see??? for someone whos not very familiarized with the english language, those words are in plural coz they have "s" at the end xD
so! this is a tip for singular words:
in English "S"-it, in spanish kill it

some- well its more specific on the kind of notebook ur using ^^
u can just put "cuaderno (notebook)" and well know what ur talking about
haha just think of it like this...in english we add the "s" in words when its singular (like cherry's examples: "writes" "talks" etc..)
while in spanish we add the "s" at the end of a verd when its plural ^^
we work the other way xD

-cuaderno → book
-nota → note
we write the other way around in spanish
and yes, as Luna said. when only when plural you add "S". if its singular dont

coz in that word "estas" the subject "tu/you" is already included ("estas" from the verb "estar/to be" - second person). is not wrong to say "como estas tu?" you can use it to stand out the subjectm but it might be redundant. the same with "estoy bien". "estoy" already includes "yo/I" ("estoy" from the verb "estar/to be" - first person).
this is all about conjugate verbs
