my favorite HiME is Nao, team leader of anti-orphan, Natsuki, and Mia.
I like Nao because she is cool... demonic energy is surrounding her... like murdering demon... hehehe. Team leader she eldest so older women 'thing?" Natsuki her violent acts toward Tate, and Mia well shes cute.

Midori since she's got a sassy personality and quite funny at times.

Mai next probably because she's cute and has enough angst about her personal problems to be a interesting character.

I am torn between Mai and Mikoto. Mai, because she is the motherly type. Mikoto, because she has a big sword and has a bottomless tummy like me. Ha ha

midori, my fave hime in the anime is just whacky here.

and mai is too much of a flip-flopper in the manga.

the rest just doesn't catch my attention at all.

My favorite is definitely Natsuki. Between the anime, where you see such a tremendous change in her character over the course of the show, to the manga, where she's so different from the anime-version it's like a different character, she's just too cool.

Though I really don't think there's any HiME's I outright disliked. The closest would be Haruka and Yukino. Though I have to say, I became more of a Nao fan after reading the manga, if only for everyone's favorite line from her "Open up my keyhole!" It was too damn funny. Mai is awesome if only for Kagatsuchi. And Akira is awesome since she's a ninja. Midori is so off the wall I love her for it. So many awesome characters in this show/manga.

Natsuki is the coolest. Her child is so awesome and the strongest out of all the rest. I like Mikota too since she is the strongest out of all the himes. Nao is cool too( i cant remember but isnt she the one who got her key destroyed?) since she nvr gives up and the webs are cool. Even though she doesnt treat her key right.....

Natsuki is my favorite. The second best is Mai!
Both have their strong points but now when we talk about manga Natsuki is the favorite. In anime it´s the opposite.

I voted for Akira-kun. Okay, so she has a silly looking frog-thing as a child. But I like her strong-stern attitude. Her ninja skills are admirable (the best!) Probably the most skilled one there. Also, she has that cold attitude, but only shows emotions to the one she loves...awww. The majority of the vote was swayed by my attraction to him...I mean her... Anyway, she certainly reminds me of Touya Akira from Hikaru no Go. Perhaps because they have the same name (Akira) and same seiyuu!

I should assume that everyone has watched Mai-HiMe, but:
Ah~ if only you were a guy Akira. When I typed this message, I kept typing "he". I still imagine her as a guy.
Didn't choose Mai, because her actions didn't quite justify her thoughts. Her Child wasn't that cool. I know she's the main character and suffered the most, but she walked around helplessly all the time. Her fights weren't extremely impressive. Which makes me wonder why that silly guy "liked her dance the most". She cramped up her feelings so much that she gets seriously affected by them. Drama-queen.

Natsuki. Yes, she's cool and holds a good composure. She's cute in her little embarassing situations. But the way she fought wasn't too exciting. All she did was just stand there, flip her hair and say "fire!"

My second choice will probably be the 17-year-old sensei. The all about justice woman. She was cute and mature. Most of all, lovable. She kept the group together and acted rationally. Mikoto could be a 2nd choice too, since she looks so cool fighting!

The person I wouldn't even consider is the girl that owns Harry, Diane, Vlas, and the that one girl that licks her horribly pointy and long nails - what's the point of that?

Im still reading the manga and watching the anime.
Kazu is a lucky guy... at least in the manga.

By the way, Mai and Natsuki would share a second place, Mai for being cute and for ... er... boobies... and Natsuki for being cool. But no one beats Akane! Smile

if its with the personality.. i'd go with natsuki
