Rock or J-Rock? and which artists?

1) plain american/canadian ROCK
2) japanese...J-ROCK heh

i think english rock way better,
metallica, guns n' roses, pantera, slayer, dream theatre, velvet revolver, audio slave, sex pistols, the clash, black sabbath, led zeppelin, rhcp, queen, ac/dc, the darkness, billy talent, jimi hendrix, van halen

the only j-rock i like is B'z, old glay, X japan, Dir en grey

I like Rock better for the fact that I havent really looked into J-Rock ,and when I do, everyone sounds like a tuba on crack.

Personally I like both I've been listening to Asian Kung-fu Generation alot lately. I think I'm slowly turning away from english rock. ^^;
I also like L'Arc~en~Ciel I've been trying to look into other bands with no avail.

i picked both. but there should be more choices, though, because there are lots of good rock bands all over the world. and from each region there are different flavors and extra bits that they add to make their rock more individual.

Personally, I like JRock better because it made a better impression on me and so I listen to it a lot more.
Well...I listen to a lot of JRock bands, but the ones I listen to the most are (in no particular order)...
Dir en Grey, MUCC, X Japan, Glay, Luna Sea, Pierrot, Buck Tick, Malice Mizer, L'Arc~en~Ciel, Kagrra,, Plastic Tree, Baiser, Aurora, Déspairs Rays, and Soroban.
