I've read few volumes of the manga but it's great. The anime is also good but it only gets into volume 6 . Ah well at least we have the manga. How many volumes does it have? _________________ Reality is wrong.

Wow. I read vols. 14-18 and I'm amazed. When I first began reading this series couple of years ago, I thought it would just provide shallow entertainment, but I'm surprised by how much depth the mangaka gives to the characters along with the twists and angst.

I get the sense that the story is going to conclude relatively soon, maybe within the next five volumes (watch, it's going to draw out to another 10 ). I'm really glad that
Honda and Kyo have been paired. I think they have a great dynamic between the two of them and Kyo has always been my favorite.
It always amuses me to compare the earlier illustrations with the newer ones and see how much the mangaka has grown as an artist. Plus, manga characters that must age, i.e. middle school to high school, must be pretty difficult draw. The changes have to be pretty subtle and I think that's one of the weaknesses of Fruits Basket. The transition doesn't occur very smoothly. However, the story is still good and that covers the small flaws.
Ch115
Did the curse get removed from Momiji, too? Since that's what it looks like, I guess then my prediction is correct. This series will be ending relatively soon.

| This one of my all time favorite anime. I liked it so much I didn't beleive it would end at eps 26 so when I heard the manga continued the story I went out and bought vol 6 where it left off. I've been buying the releases soon as they're out ever since. But I'm tired of waiting for the releases and now am checking out the scanslations. That doesn't mean I'm going to stop buying b/c I think its a worthy investment. I can't believe how behind Tokyopop was until I read some of the spoilers. Most of all about Akito! Thanks for the links you guys posted. I definetely will be visiting stoptazmo.com. |

Yes, please read the manga. The way the storyline was displayed in the anime was too confusing compared to the manga. I guarantee that you'll enjoy the series even more than you do now.
Also...I'm starting to get annoyed when people tell that hatori, when hugged, is supposed to represent the zodiac horse. It's the dragon!!! Pleasse tell me that it's the dragon!!!! |

Hatori is the dragon and the horse is Sohma Isuzu (Rin). |

| Well, well.
So Momiji is now free of the curse. Not only that, but he's the only one who's broken free of Akito on his own. He's gutsier than I thought.

I was disappointed that Rin didn't show up in the anime; she was so cool and angsty |

This title will always and forever be my favorite title... EVER!
While I was watching the anime, I was really dissapointed that the horse (rin) and the Chicken (kureno) didn't appeared. I was happy to see them in the manga though. I love the characters and story lines of this title. Circumstances.... maybe that's the theme. I don't know, I think Fruits Basket is all about diversity. Many different themes, many different situations, characters, and genres. _________________ ::~::If I were the rain, could I connect with someone's heart, As the rain can unite the enternally separated Earth and Sky?::~::
