Think of Runescape as portable game that u can play anywhere, anytime.. unlike those heavy-duties which reqs >100MB to download. When I'm playing games I want A GAME not some EYE CANDIES. |

I played it for a while, but I was kind of irratated by the graphics. I mean they are pretty good for a game that's for free, but they looked...iunno a little too generic. The game play was fun and they were really innovative by having all those things to do (i.e. mine, fish, etc). But I found leveling a little but too boring. The communities great, but I hate what happens when you die. _________________ PM some funny pick-up lines please > |

| It was the best free MMORPG to play, especially if you were on 56k back then IMO. I think I only got up to lvl 50 lol. |

I played this for a while too... but it grew kind of tiring. I tended to continuously mine coal after coal. Plus too many people play, so then it gets crowded and people start to yell that ur taking their coal. Another thing is that there are so many people trying to get all your stuff by trading and running away. Sigh... I feel depressed know... |

Like all those types of games, it's got a high repetitive factor. Also, add in the fact that the cusotmizable weapons and such are pretty much only circulated in the really really high/rich levels of the game, and also the system for pk/pvp or versus npcs are pretty much rock paper scissors (or a balance of the 3.) From a programmers point of view, the game is a technological peice of art. From a Gamer's view, it's dull and repetitive for the most part, yet innovative for some.
The "runescape" rpg/adventure doesn't really have any storyline or "great" events. It's quests are really random and spread out through the world. It does require you to level up and involve yourself with the gameplay too.
Money. This is a huge issue in Runescape. It's got a huge lack between the very poor and the very rich. Just like Russia before it changed. However, the difference is, theres no uprising. Bronze sells for somehting like 20$, iron for 30, steel for around 50, black armour? 70, mithril jumps to like 130 and the price just goes through the roof with adamantine and Rune. (I just made those figures up so no flamerizing moi plz).
The characters, they all look the same, minus a few beards here and there. The clothing and colour and amulets, its like one of those wierd picutres in the art gallery, same face, new colour. Not much to say.
All in all, I give this a 6.5/10.
Gameplay:C-
Graphics: D-
Addictiveness:C+
Humourosity:D+
Will draw those in that doesn't know any better about the rpg world. Or the random ones who like runescape. |

Played it before and gave it a shot, but it wasn't worth my time. I didn't like the graphics too much and didn't have the time to spent a lot of efford leveling.
---I overheard some kids at my school saying he plays for two hours a day, and was mocked by his buddy because his buddy says he played for 7 hours a day. An extra hour on top of that if his parents go out for a walk
Thats what I call NERD gamers. |

This game is okay to play if you got nothing to do, but frankly it's repetitive and can get boring. Also there are way to many people scamming others . Ever try the sacred grail scam? |

| Runescape has great graphics seeing that it is a browser game and requires no download (except JAVA). It is fun for me and may interest people who like to play RPGs as it involves skills, traits, etc. |

I simply got bored after awhile..... it kinda doesn't motivate you to play ya know... though there are quests, I find that it gives you nothing about the environment your playing in.... there is no storyline... nothing... just go out there and fight, level up your skills and buy or create cool armor.... _________________
