Because people enjoy it, and it isn't "porn/hentai" per se when the rules are followed. Its a way for people into that sort of thing to converse/share.
Of note to the mods: there has been alot of spamming there, though, as well as peanut gallery comments. |

| there is acutally no way we could be able to restrict it to 18+, that would only happen if we get all of the people in the forums birthdays so we know what age they are but at the same time they would be able to just put in a false date, so whats the point, if you dont like it don't go into it, oh and censorship suck a$$ so if its restricted to memebers only I'm fine with that |

I'll have to go with Idjota here.
Ecchi forum is there to stay. While I don't visit it, some people like it. Just like some people like videogames and others don't.

| really, since fact that personal age is relative to subjective truth does kind of give an incentive to take the ecchi board off... seriously, I would bet that AS would have a much better chance of becoming not only a BIGGER site, but a more RESPECTIBLE site as well if we start picking up the little bits and pieces here and there..... |

I think part of the reason we get 15 millions page views a month right now is that we're open to such topic. We even used to have an hentai game section and we had lots of questions about it.
In the end, nobody is forced to visit it, there are guidelines to use it. So far, I think it has not gone out of control. We try to touch as many aspects of anime as possible. Some people might not like it, but ecchi-ness is a BIG HUGE part of both anime and manga.
How many panty shots do you see in Mahoromatic ? How many boob shots in Love Hina, GTO, etc. ? I find it normal and expected from a website about anime, populated by people with a passion for anime to have this sort of section.
For the people who may find it offensive. I think the advice before clicking is quite clear. It may be offensive, you may not like it. Don't click if you don't want to see it. |

| Besides we try to keep that forum as much as possible clean of all porn and hentai. Lately ecchi is shown in more and more anime and some people like to discuss about pictures, mangas or series. |

| Well, I think you should put a 18+ section in the forum where all the categories such as echi go there... |
