System of a Down

Hi Hi everyone! I'm really bored right now so I decided to see if anyone around here listens to System of a Down. I only recently started listening to them about six months ago or so. They have some BOMB ass music though and they have become one of my favorite bands.

Also here to find out anything new about their upcoming albums, Mesmerize and Hypnotize as well as the Souls concert that they'll be doing on April 24. I'll be going there!!!! =)

Anyways, post if you are interested, have any new SOAD info, or you are just bored (like I was =P).

They are playing in Universal City at the Universal Amphitheatre. Only way to get tickets now is through eBay though.

SOAD is great, but my question is: i went into a best buy and they had a "tribute" cd to SOAD, what is it?

SOAD is pretty good ive seen them live once when they were promoting Toxicity at the Lowlands festival in holland and i had a very good time.
Dunno what the tribute cd is though never heard of it and i couldnt find any info on it and coulnd find any downloads.

One of the only bands that puts everything they have into 1 album... not just 1 single and the rest garbage.
They're the ones that got me into heavy music... back in.. hm.. '99.
I got sort of tired of them, so I took a break from listening to them for a couple of months.. and when I went back to listen, fell in love all over again <3

The new song, Cigaro, took me a few listens to to get used to it. After that, I was back right in.

What makes you like System? The sound? The energy? The lyrics? Something else?

I'm personally lyrics.

Those are the only three they have besides the songs they played for sountracks and such. I like their cover of "Snowblind." The new single BYOB is pretty nice as well. By the way, there's only going to be 11 tracks on the "Mesmerize" CD. I wanted way more. =/

As for favorite songs: Chop Suey!, P.L.U.C.K., Aerials, Streamline, Soil, ATWA, Jet Pilot, and Roulette.

Mesmerize - May 17
Hypnotize - late summer, early fall

Those are the two new SOAD CD's.
Two singles out so far are Cigaro and Bring Your Own Bombs!
Pick em up through p2p or bittorrent or IRC or however you can find them. Other than that, there should only be three albums: SOAD, Toxicity, and Steal This Album!. There's also the two tribute CD's but that's not SOAD.
