animes becomes a real show

what do u think of animes, that become a real show?
i mean, when animes are made with real people, no drawing, no cartoon.
for example gto (grat teacher onizuka) or sailormoon ( sailormoon live actors)
i watched an episode and its really strange... Confused

Most live actions i've seen suck...

I agree SailorMoon is bad but not GTO since i think Takashi Sorimachi was great in bringing out Onizuka's role.

There are limited actions which the live action can performed, exclude using CG. For example, some scenes in the manga/anime where Onizuka jumps from the roof to save his students and landed on the principal's car like a meteorite. You can't expect the real actors do perform these stunts, do you? Laughing

i typically stay away from those, since i think part of the reason i enjoy watching anime is for the animation itself, but i have been curious. I've heard that GTO was really good. there also has been a live action You're Under Arrest. I'm wainting for sci-fi's mini-series of Witch Hunter Robin.. man i hope they do it justice, there's so much potential to do good.. and do it really bad.

I havent seen any of the live shows. but they are anime for a reason. things like budget with special effects need to be thought of. i hear the live action version always suck but they have been doing a pretty good job with adapting comics into live action movies/series. i mean back in the day with the original batman yes it was cheesey but it was so long ago same goes with spiderman. but how about the new spiderman movies and batman movies. look at XMEN they are all great. i understand these are all movies so they have a huge budget but what about Lois and Clark that was decent and there is even smallville right now which is good show. i think you just got to give them a chance to grow. but i think i wrote a lot already but i do have one more thing to say i cant wait for the NGE movie. i hope its good.

But it has to be like exactly the same with the manga, if not better...

And with really hot girls as the main characters, of course...

The problem with "real-life" animes is probably the budget, They are all very cheap films. If someone made movie that matched up to the marvel one that came out over the last few years, it could be fairly impressive.

wel, theres h2 out rite now, i saw the first ep, not too well, its really weird

if anyones read or watched gokusen the live action is really good and its on there second season rite now so watch it!!(i dont think its that popular but its a comedy)

saw the gundam real life action movie g-saviour. wasn't too impressed. the cgi animations of the gundams were pretty cool though.

Can these people act? Also its SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO cheesy that its not even funny.. look at sailor moon... When i first saw it, I laughed my ass off.. then after 6 mins, i just went WTF this is SO bad that its freaky. Seriously, it looked like it was on a VERY low budget and it looked like there was no effort in even trying to make it look good. Also CGI and animations within live actions don't count as live actions Wink

It depends on whether you're talking about Japanese live action versions? or the Hollywood versions that are supposedly being made at some point. Two I know of are Evangelion (supposed to have some whopping budget for this!) and Monster, which has only recently been purchased for movie rights by New Line Cinema.

Personally I don't often go for live action versions of anime. I quite enjoyed the Sailor Moon TV series and I love the Sera Myu. I was tempted once to watch the Hunter x Hunter and Prince of Tennis live action musicals but kinda changed my mind!!

GTO is pretty good not the movie tho the Nanako girl is pretty cute....
I only watched this particular live action coz I really liked the GTO anime series..

And if Eva is made in Live Action with LOTR budget it'll be pretty neat (if it is well done)..
