Why did you join A-source.com?

I joined... 'cause I was looking for the more recent chappies of Yakitate.

And as it's a level 3 manga, I had to find some way of getting enough points to read it, right?

Sooo.... that's my pitiful reason for joining. ^^

I joined mainly for the manga that is provided and maybe some of the reviews on various anime and manga.

my sis found this site, where she found Ichigo 100%, which i too started reading (never got to finish it though, lost my interest somewhere in the 4th vol.) then wondered around the forum, made friends with some strange people and became one of them...

I went through every page of this thread to see if I posted and apparently I never did.... so here it is:

I came in to A-Source for the anime downloads (I think Air and Mai-HiME were my first two). Since I was new to anime in general, I joined the forums back in Nov 2004 for the opportunity to discuss anime and have people to share info with and also to make new friends.

At the same time, I was also a member of 2 other website forum communities, but both of those were full of people who like to show off. Every comment I made would be met with scrutiny from members and moderators alike. They were full of people who liked to boast about how awesome they thought they were... even though they prolly just looked up the answers to questions just seconds prior to posting. They treated "noobs"... even those with 250+ posts... like they were complete morons.

This place is made up of nicer people who aren't afraid to admit when they're wrong, don't try to act like they're superior and aren't afraid to be friendly... even when talking about controversial things.

I seriously joined A-Source because I felt extremely alone at school. At the time I would sit alone and work and write horror stories, but I felt horrible being alone all the time. Sure guys would try to ask me out but I knew their intentions right from the start. And Im not outgoing so I just sat there. It got so bad that I started getting very depressed. There were other factors, but none that I would like to mention here.

I had actually encountered this site first when I was reading Yami To Boush To Hon No Tabibito reviews. I thought they had a good layout and everything was very interesting. But since I didnt forum then, I didnt think about joining. Then I remembered this site when i was looking for a forum to join. Everyone seemed nice. (Minus CGY) So I joined and kept going with it. And I am so happy that I did. Its been a blast. Everyone is nice and open and like xenocrisis said, they are not afraid to be wrong. Nobody is stupid and argues like a blind moron. Its a great place to hang out.

So here we are, over a year later and Im still here. That speaks for the greateness of this site and the time on my hands. Laughing

i joined A-S when i was flicking through the pages on Google searching for some new anime to watch. Then i saw this page and i kind of formed bond with it. i started to read manga and post on the forum. i think A-S has brightened my life. Very Happy

I don't think I've ever posted in this thread before...and I so can't be bothered to go through each page and find it.

Anywho I found A-S through some other website...might have been off Akatsuki Manga to read Pretty Face and then I joined so I could read all the other manga A-S has/had here. Then after joining, I pretty much lurked around the forums and hung around the Aussie Thread for bit and then started to post in the Anime Sections and then decided to try out the LTE...and well everyone's so nice around here and well I'm still around and more active then I ever was Laughing
