I think that Azumanga Daioh and Yotsuba To! are pretty hilarious and they are made by the same mangakan.

I'm partial to King of Bandit Jing, its pretty darn funny (if little known). Of course, you can't deny great series like Azumanga Daioh and Ranma.

Its a sports one but Kattobi Itto by Motoki Monma is hilarious. you can find it scanslated http://www.manga-fiends.tk/ but they dont have too many of them. If you are lucky enough to read japanese try finding them in a japanese book store because they are worth every penny. Just think it is Bruce Lee meets Mini Me. it is sort of like Shalon Soccer but not really. but it is mad funny
