hey can ne one give me some suggestion of good trance and techno songs that i can download? im tired of listening to alternative and rock music and need a change.
Juno Reactor, Fluke, Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Talvin Singh, Scooter, Crystal Method, Daft Punk, Delerium, Faithless, Fatboy Slim, Junkie XL, Lunatic Calm, Hive, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Apollo 440, Massive Attack, Lamb, LCD Soundsystem, Leftfield, Opus III, Robert Miles, Tabla Beat Science, Underworld, The Orb
Experimental electronic music:
Autechre, Aphex Twin, Mouse on Mars, Orbital, Future Sound of London, Mum, Kraftwerk (that's the band which started it all in the 70s) _________________ Is that the best you can do, you pansies?
aldim listed some excellent stuff...
i'd recommend the first disc of the Appleseed OST
www.tofurecords.com has it or i'm sure you can find it on the net ;P
also try some internet radio stations... Winamp has a good selection of electronica and so does iTunes Radio.
that's a good way to find artists. _________________ [13:42] * Is pokes Smeggster

That reminds me, I forgot to add Paul Oakenfold.
Though I'm not a fan of most stuff on the Appleseed OST. I'd only recommend the songs Dive For You, Burns Attack (Paul Oakenfold's track), and Anthem.
As far as anime soundtracks go I think that The Animatrix, Boogiepop Phantom, Texhnolyze, and Serial Experiments Lain (especially the Cyberia Mix) have the best techno music. Yoko Kanno's stuff isn't bad either; while she's very inconsistent, there are some really outstanding tracks in the OSTs she has produced (especially Ghost in the Shell: SAC). Speaking of GitS, the SAC game OST has some excellent techno.
I could add Initial D but the music isn't anything special really, just a lot of similar sounding dance tracks. Also some people like Yuki Kajiura's work on Hack and Noir, but I find 90% of it extremely bland.
On a side note, Gantz has some wonderful electronic music but I haven't seen an OST of it around yet. _________________ Is that the best you can do, you pansies?
you didn't like the Appleseed OST? hmm... there are a couple tracks i don't really care for but on the whole it's a good album to just let play while driving. (especially at night) _________________ [13:42] * Is pokes Smeggster
