Jungle wa Itsumo Hale nochi Guu is the funniest thing I've EVER seen. It's just...freaking bizarre.

I could say Excel Saga, but that got old after the first two episodes....and come to think of it I don't think I so much laughed as went "o_O"

Naruto? Naruto is funny, but it's more action oriented and quite serious... I don't know if I could call it a comedy.

Id have to say there all funny in there own way. But my favorties that ive seen are Excel Saga, FLCL, and I always lauph at the situations Keitaro gets him self into in Love Hina.

Well, if you don't mind the echii suggestive stuff, I thought Puni Puni Poemi was hallarious. I don't know why either, I mean it's not all that good, but it just leave me cracking up. It's pointless, fast paced and odd. "Kobayashi!!"

I also thought Read or Die (not the TV series the OVA) was pretty funny. I mean seriously, "The Paper" how can you not crack up at something that absurd? Perhaps its funny because they take it so seriously. I don't know.

I also found Gokusen to be funny. Yankumi cracks me up. I love her imagination cut scenes. If I was a Yakuza, I'd definately wanna be her.

azumanga daioh is hilarious... but if someone remenber about mister ajiko (born to cook / cooking master... forgot bout the name) it was funny too...remember the reaction after ate the food...^^

there's lots of good comedy animes out there, but the funniest would have to be Excel Saga. its halarious. not much of a plot tho

i'm thinking... i haven't seen many comedy animes, but in the few ones i've seen my 'Top Funniest anime of all time' is:

Love Hina: funny as hell!
Midori no Hibi: a right-hand girlfriend? hilarious...
Happy Lesson: laughed a lot watching it!

an Honor Mention goes to: 2x2 Shinobuden; have you guys seen that already? i've only seen first two eps, and i laughed to death!

Azumanga Daioh is the funniest thing I've ever read - it's much MUCH better than the Anime, if you can believe it.(they did a superb job with the Japanese version of the Anime - just about perfect. I hightly recommend it - but it's not as funny as the Manga.

Azumanga still gets my top vote for Anime, though - but - and this is improtant - you have to watch a subtitled version - the dubbed version in the U.S. is - it just kills all of the inside jokes and so on.
