Not to insult anyone but it seems that if the show is not beheading someone on the first episode, that makes it a kiddy show. For anyone who thinks this is a kiddy show, please explain to me why because I get real lost at comments similar to above. |
it has nothing to do with the amount of violence... the plot(we're not going to see Coud manifest an Oedipus complex ala Shinji in NGE) and fast pacing make it less adult oriented.... i.e. 2-dimensional characters (no pun)... but hey, its kind of funny... and its not a bad show for its niche
Off topic: as far as anime names go, Coud is pretty awful.

Well, I see it's not one of the slowest shows around(which is a good thing in my opinion) but my definition of a kiddy show is probably something like Magical Nyan Nyan Taruto(it's still a good show though!). Seeing how this show isn't afraid to get emotional, It's hard for me to refer to this anime as a "kid's" show.
I though Coud was pretty creative but your joke was real funny! |

They toned a lot of things down for the anime though. Compared to the manga, (of which I think it's up to volume 7 in Japan) Coug is pretty damn moderate. He actually acts (sort of) like a teenager rather than a 7 year old kid (in the manga).
But then again, this is only episode 3, so Lord knows what will happen next... |

Yip, they even tone down the sexual overtones.
Episode 3, Ren was captured and the kidnapper was looking for the Erementar Gerad on her. In the manga, she had her clothes torn off and the guy was still looking for it. With her clothes all torn, the only place was her headband. In the anime, he was quite quick in getting to the headband. No tearing of clothes. The manga had the sexual overtone of rape and the intention to do so. The anime only had a hint of it.

Woah! The took out that much? The manga sound real interesting.
This sucks, I could be watching the 3rd episode right now but my sister is hogging the computer to update her Blackplanet account!!!! I am so pissed right now! 
EDIT: It's okay now, I just watched it and boy did they decide to leave us on a cliffhanger for this episode. Can't wait to see what happens next! |

I like the way they weave they humour into the action and story and that
pie in the face is classic.

the grouped dropped the manga when it was licensed so you won't be able to find it that easily |

if you want unlicensed manga's manganews.net has a very good date base telling you where to locate the manga's |

Agreed... have to admit that is the main strength of this anime so far, each ep ending with some kind of a cliffhanger, so people would continue sticking to it...
although the characters are getting more annoying by the minute, this (and the cool OP sequence) are the things that made me stick to this anime so far... hoping for a darker storyline for times to come...
