How can you view how many points you have?

Thanks for you suggestions on where to find it, it actually hadn't occured to me to look there, I'm still kind of a newb here. And "topic" means that there is no other text and is just referring to the topic title as the main point or what the other text would be since there really isn't a need to re-type it.
