I guess its a lot more interesting if readers get some in depth knowledge of the characters in the manga. I also think that its for entertainment purposes, where people can see if they have the same blood type as the characters?

IT would be good to know what your blood type is. say a friend needs a transfusion, and you don't know if your blood type is right, its always good to know...

I think the blood type is an extra info some authors add to make feel more realism to the story and the context of the manga

doesn't anyone who post here read earlier replies? it IS about the horoscope thing..although mine apparently couldn't be further from the truth..
it's also somewhat a custom to list it, just like how Japanese people would often introduce themselves and include their age (and often in comedy anime/manga, whether they are single or not!)

i find it kind of retarded to know the blood type of a character in a manga. i mean, its not like it'll really impact the story in any way unless somewhere along the lines of the story, theres a part where a character has a rare blood type thats able to save someone or something. but like that'll ever happen so yea...i find it rediculous

I'm probably just pulling it out of my butt but blood types are often used to describe a person's personality. For instance, B types are rash, violent, and straightfoward. A tomboy often has this bloodtype. (ex Fuko from Flame of Recca.)

wao i Asian my self but never think taht far about my blood typ... but it seem to b trus for Jap people coz most of anime, manga even game they all put the charater blood typ.
