I sort of think it is. because it seems like the aliens are just minding their own business and then out of nowhere 10 or so people are hunting them down. also there have been a couple of times that the aliens make it look like they are just trying to exhist and have no clue why they are getting killed. even though the aliens fight back i dont think that makes them evil. if somebody was trying to kill youwouldnt you fight back. and besides its probably been going on so the alien community is probably looking out for itself.

man its an manga\anime so i dont find it too bad.But imagine aliens would live around u and they would look like that wouldnt u be scared if hed get a bad day and goes on a killing spree. Twisted Evil

Gantz is ruthless, uncaring of casualties, sending uninformed recruits out untrained into life-or-death kill-or-be-killed situations. He treats it as a game - perhaps for his own entertainment. If he has a nobler motivation, why doesn't he offer more information, or revive at least some of the fallen. (Maseru killed a major boss before dying - even if you don't revive the outright failiures and incompetents, if your main objective is killing the aliens rather than running a gladiatorial combat, why leave accomplished veterans like Nishi to die and replace him with a raw recruit like the monk?)

What is less clear is whether the aliens are evil as well, and if Gantz' missions result in endangering civilain bystanders or if he is intercepting a potential bloodbath in the case of the Ring aliens.

Gantz is evil. But Gantz' enemies may also be evil. Trust none of the factions to be good or even to understand human morality.

I would place Gantz (using D&D terms) in either Chaotic Evil or Chaotic Neutral. He doesn't obey any sort of laws, and uses people very flippantly. The problem is that most people would put cruelty and callousness as evil traits, as well as his law breaking behaviour as evil. It isn't, that is chaotic behaviour.

He's more chaotic than evil. He's got some evil, but I wouldn't place him as totally evil.

The problem is that we can't judge, because we don't have all the details. What if Gantz is a robot, who uses the internet to determine behaviour. His speaking in leet, and his disregard for human life could be attributing to online games. He could be using the Ballman as fuel, ala Matrix. It could be he is ignorant, not evil.

But I could just be bullshitting. Who knows?

i din't vots... because i really don't know which 1 to put.....

good part- help mankind by detrying allien, although some allien might be good.... he also give the people a second chace to live, so i can't say that he don,t revive people after they die... maybe gantz not the real boss or etc.

bad part- darn! he mission them to kill tea.... tea was so good and kei is trying his best to protect her, why would some1 kill her so heartlessly??

ps:starting to hate izumi more and more. Sad

i would say that gantz is evil or at least amoral because of the complete lack of respect he(it?) has for human and alien lives. hunting the aliens might be excusable if they are themselves evil, but i don't see how anyone could justify sending helpless people into a life or death situation and killing them if they run away or ordering for an innocent bystander like tae to be killed.

gantz is NOT evil... Lets just call him... Recruiting people who would have died anyways and using them as bounty hunters. Gantz is like a director and orders his "lackey" to do the work in reward for "points" <sounds much like a resident evil game Rolling Eyes

I think toying around with life like that's pretty evil... He doesn't need to blow up people's heads like that! There could have been a force field or something... geez! I think all the gore in the manga's drawing away from the main story though.. Sure there's a lot of death, but the detail of the injuries, and the spurting... it's just sickening... Gore aside, I think it's a pretty strong story. ^_^

Like some people have said gantz got good part and bad part but for my opinion i think gantz is too cruel.i saying it because gantz can at least told them about the suit if gantz want them hunt the alien down.The good part is that gantz make Human realize how precious life are.

i voted for 'no' since right now i don't see him as a bad guy nor a good one. he is just weird... is he having fun or does he have goal or what, hard to say. but he is making my life a bit more interesting, anyway^_^ yeah, the people he uses have already died so he is kind of giving them an other chance, isn't he? at least i woud like to experience something like that after dieing and by surviving getting to live longer... sounds cool.

not onli gantz have to told them about the suit... but i think he should also told them about those allien and that they can go home once the finish a mission... gantz should have told the inocent people more imformation... like the bomb that will balst thier head if they went out off the battlefield....
