Is GANTZ evil?

it seems gantz is one of alien police. Embarassed

like it's job (or his job?!) captured or if it's have to, kill. Very Happy

Hmm... I've been thinking of your arguements about Gantz "conscripting" people to fight in this war. This reminds me of serveral things... WW2 Germany, WW2 Japan, WW2 Britain. The reason is because Gantz has to be desperate to conscipt people who died and then send then out to fight with little or no training. In these wars when the major powers were losing (japan and germany) , they forcefully made people fight in the war by saying just "heres a gun, the bayonnet, and the clip. Now go out there and fight". The same think happened to Britain in WW2 when they were isolated on the island. Anyone with flying skills were put into fighter planes with either a crash course training or none at all and were forced to defend Britain's air space from the Luffewaffe. From what I see, Gantz is SERIOUSLY desperate for people to fight in this war and if he loses all recruits, technically it is annihilation for his side and then earth would have no more defenses. Maybe thats why he kept Kei alive instead of blowing up his head when he hid and as punishment he lost all his points.

Now for the arguement for killing Kei's Girlfriend. Gantz knew that Kei loved her so he did this, BLACKMAIL. Since she took a picture, Gantz would have a motive to have her killed. He knew Kei would do whatever possible to prevent her from dying and since Gantz doesn't want Kei to die (best chance to winning this war), he would have her death be his trump card since he can revive her later on. Thats why the destruction of the photo wouldn't have ended the hunt. You may argue that that wasn't fair, but what else did she see when they were hunting for her? SHE SAW THE SUITS!!! Thats another motive for Gantz to have her dead and Kei as his puppet until the war is over.

Also, the thing about the death of the onion people in the beginning, there might have been an incident before Kei's group on where that onion monster killed a Gantz operative and was made target later on to have him dead. This would be the same as some people in Rl planning revenge after some time after a certain incident. Gantz might have thought the onion people might have released sensitive information to other factions and deemed him as dangerous. This is similar to the US where Deserting soldiers were either imprisoned for life or executed, or where spies got ahold of valuable information.

In my opinion, I think this entire thing is just a training for Kei until his ultimate target and test (my guess would be having to kill his brother since he is a vampire now and he might be turned into the "leader" of the faction). So Gantz might not have his motive as being evil but using "evil" methods of trying to win this ugly war.

gantz is not all that bad...i mean u get to live again!!! u get to fight for ur life again!!! i gives u another chance at life....if u survive that is...if u die, that was supposed to happen anyway......

falloutX2- i would aree with you, but don't you think it is to cruel to send a old lady or an old man to a battle ground??? he even send a child to battle.. =.=" of coure teenage like us would be prefer dying of battle instead of illness. Wink

i rather die or a sickness because you atleast get to live longer and your death wont be as painful because when one of those aliens were to rip you apart piece by piece and then eat your remains. when you die of sickness you get to die peacefully depending on the type of sickness.

i have yet to discover a plot to Gantz, therefore its killings are unjustified and senselesskilling can be considered evil.

theres a plot. and even romance(in a fucked up kinda way). You just dont seem to understand it thats all. And no its not *ahem* "senselesskilling" *ahem* because gantz obviously has a motive. he wants those alien buggers dead or captured.(and to keep it a secret...duh). Youre just labeling GANTZ evil because its what your against or something. In reality to you GANTZ may be the "bad" guy but not evil. for the aliens we humans must be the bad guys (again...duh). if we followed your line of thinking then us humans would be EVIL to....I think not....(well maybe the one crazy re-GANTZER, but just him)

Gantz is really horrible. I really would never wish to live a life like that for sure. Making people alive again, forcing them to fight and kill anyone who finds out about the secret.
P.S I still like the violence and blood but only in shows and anime and never ever in real life

Of course Gantz is evil, he drags innocent children to fight and changes the rules to amuse himself. During the shorty alien part, he sent kurono alone to fight so he would lose all his points because kurono was so close to escaping, which isn't fair.
