I was at an AKFG fansite (www.akfgfan.com) and I saw that they have started a petition to Tofu Records, asking for AKFG albums to be released in the states! The author of the petition says why it is worth a try.

I have already signed it! If you like this band too, go sign it! (Even if you are not in the USA please help us out!) |

i don't think that's the case. if you buy it now, as an import, you have to pay like 30 bucks for a cd. if tofu records releases them, they will cost about half as much, since the regular price in the US for a cd is about 15 dollars or so. |

| yesasia has the chinese (or something) releases for about $18, but the 2 newest albums are $29.75 for the japanese releases. the singles cost less, yeah, but there's only a few songs on them. and houkai amplifier costs less too, but i think that's because it has only 6 songs. their first dvd doesn't have a bad price, but that's when i look at the euro price. it seems expensive in dollars lol i don't know why. |

thats so true... btw: Sony owns the souls...uh... i mean the distribution rights to almost all the popular japanese acts... so I would expect if they thought AKFG could be profitable in the US they'd use their US label...
Oh, thats right, "Tofu Records" is a Sony label... silly me... If you watch popjapan.tv (Sony's US-based MTV style countdown that plays on the International Channel... uh, I mean AZN TV) they have featured AKFG a number of times...
so its likely that they'll at least port "sol-fa"... I havn't seen that much of the US-version of FMA but if they are using ALL the original japanese openings it would be a good move to co-encide the albums release with the use of "rewrite" in the anime. like they did with le'arc'n ciel and their song "ready steady go"... though if I remember correctly... wan't Porno Graphiti's "Melissa" the first openning to FMA?...
#(*&@$(& funimation... well at least it wasn't a crapy rap intro (one piece) =P.... |
