yes that's a good book to read on.
I recommend classic books like Bewoelf or your choice
The book that you should read is a matter of your taste... _________________ [img:245:171:663a141d03]http://cards.pokecharms.com/create/bec8d2597c782f32ee7cbcceaf64cae5.png[/img:663a141d03]
To kill a mockingbird - this book doesn't tell u how to kill mockingbirds. It's about racial prejudice in the '30s. The title is just a metaphor of something that happens near the end.
Lord of the Rings - I'm sure u've all heard of this. The movies are amazing, but they leave out some details that can be found in the book. I'm like the only person in the world that reads the songs. _________________ Nobody is perfect; I'm nobody. Therefore, I'm perfect.
speaking of books! i am 20 pages away from finishing my cisco certification network associates book! its taken me 3 months to work on this book! around 11 weeks in total. (btw, this is not a class, this is something i read in my spare time) once i finish the ccna book, i am going to study on some practice tests then try my luck at passing a test, which only has a passing rate of 15%
a good book is Night, its a tiny book that took me only a day to read, buts its good. Its about concentration camps and jews. It takes place during Hitlers time.

I like many genre of books, but fantasy and sci-fi are my favorites. Suggestions:
Mercedes Lackey - All, but most note worthy are The Heralds of Valdemar Series (any yaoi fans would like The Last Herald Mage Trilogy, while most of the rest of the series only occasionally touches on the subject) and The Fairy Godmother.
Tad Williams - Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn Trilogy.
David Eddings - All.
John DeChancie - Castle Perilous Series.
Raymond E. Feist - The Riftwar Saga with the next few books, including the Empire Trilogy (the invading world is similar to Japan in several interesting ways).
Terry Brooks - Shannara Series. _________________ "There is a method to my madness and madness in my method."

Um first off books are genre based so its a toss up among eachg genre.
FANTSY - Now theres two books or one book and a series that i just love... 1984 by George Orwell - Fabulous book unbelievable superd writing styles and its got such a deeper meaning and such a crazy look on what life could be. I highly recomend it and bellieve it or not i actually think if by any chance it was turned into an anime it would be a really good anime lol. Second fantasy choice would have to go to the Dragonlance series. I read um all cept those ones published by alternate authors and i guarentee this series will not dissapoint. It was an absolutly great read and i didnt put any of the books down till they were done.
Now I guess this qualifies as fantasy and i shoulda listed it as a third but The Stephan King Dark Tower Series. Not really horror but oh man. See since the start of his publication in the literary world King has been incorperating bits and pieces of this series into a good percentage of his books. Like youd be surprised how many books contain referance to the dark tower series before it was even finished being written. It really is more of a fantasy series though and once you start on this one you wont put it down.
SCIENCE FICTION - Heres where I have to through out an author that just seemes to have a magic pen. His name is Ben Bova. Every book by this guy is just amazing. Moonbase and Moonrise(i think) were two of the most amazing books. I have reread them at least three times and hes published a lot of books. If your in the sci-fi space market you better at least read one of his books.
DRAMA - Now theres quite a few books that would fit under this title and by quite a few i mean millions but Theres one book and one author Ill point out. First is the last stand by if you couldnt tell he was a fav, stevsie king. This could almost be my favorite book and while it is pushing the limits to being a "drama" book it was unbelievable. Such a deep running plot. Wow i really suggest this to anyone. The autrhor who i have to mentiton is John Grism. He was a lawyer who retired to write books and has achieved noteable succes with his books. Now everything almost by him has a law spin on it but some books like the king of torts and the summoner were just really intrueging and well written.
COMMEDY - Its really hard to actually come up with a book that fits under the comedy genre that can really be called a book.. but im gona try. First off theres a series by a guy named piers anthony. It deals with people who take the place of these mini-gods who deal with tasks like death or time. THe first book has the main char kill death anf then take his place. Now dont read these expecting to be laughing the whole time. ITs quite a wry humor that actually is more of an undertone. One of my favorite series and its got an unbelievable conclusion. Now theres another book called America by john steward. Great bok for some political humor.. But if you flat out in need of some laughs.. the dilbert books are my fav. One of the best if not the best comic out there.. and while its hardly a book its soooo funny.
HORROR - One of my favorite horror books would have to be Salems Lot by steevsie king again. Ive seen this book be taught in schools its that good but its just.. its creepy but at the same time awsome... dont see the stupid movies... read the sweet book.. in fact a lot of other stuff by him notebaly pet semetary is great horror stuff. But another king of that genre is Dean Koontz. Hes not as horrorish but his books are really good and there always a little wierd. Really hes good.
Now theres soo many other great books but for each of my favortite genres this should be a good start. I guess some of u now know where reeder comes from eh lol _________________ "Let them hate, so long as they fear"
The novels of Philip Pullman (primarily 'His Dark Materials' trilogy... composed of 'The Golden Compass', 'The Subtle Knife', and 'The Amber Spyglass'.) I've been an avid reader of his since 3rd grade when I picked up the first book to his trilogy, and was absolutely thrilled four years later with the last book.
Just a few days ago I picked up one of his older books, 'The Ruby in the Smoke', part of the Sally Lockheart series. It's of a different nature, a thriller mystery, but still retains that wonderful Pullman feel of being able to read simplistic descriptions and creating a whole world without the use of complex words to make the author feel smart.
Also the 'Fionavar Tapestry' by I believe Guy Kay Gavriel(?). It's a compilation of a series of stories that is wonderful beyond imagination. Hard to get into, but once you're in, you truly cannot stop reading for those hundreds and hundreds of pages.
And one of my fading favorites (Mostly because I haven't read them in a long time) is the Wayfarer Redemption trilogy. (subsequently, the first book shares the same name as the trilogy.) I actually bought all three books as hardcover. Recently I heard a fourth book was introduced, but I didn't look into it because my friend said it destroyed the original story. It's a very soul-tearing triplet of books, but very savory.
A stand-alone book is 'The Walking Drum'. It's historical fiction, and it's absolutely riveting. It ranks almost on par with 'His Dark Materials', and the author was going to write a sequel, but he died. Louis L'amour I believe was his name. He writes lots of western western (cowboys, pioneering) stories I'm not interested in, but this was an absolute gem. It takes place in europe-ish area _________________ TheXolution
