Soul Calibur III

Wheee Soul Calibur III is being made. Ive heard some rumors that there will be guest characters again (such as Hiehachi?? for Playstation, Link for Nintendo, and Spawn? for XBox) does anyone know if its true or not?

BTW projected release date for SCIII is before the end of this year

Hm..imo i dont think there making it but its possible....i hope they do.im a fan of Soul Calibur and i hope they make 3...

Soul Calibur 3 will be exclusively for the PS2

I HATE the fact that it is exclusive. Hopefully they'll find some better people for the PS2, toehr than poo-ass Heiachi! I don't know about anyone esle but not only is Heiachi unfit for the Soul Calibur World, but he sucks. What'll we see next, Sub-Zero(Mortal Kombat) in Street Fighters EX4?

^ yep exclusive to PS2. but u can create ur own characters, choosing their gender, race, weapon, etc.

Well you realize Heihachi is a namco character. Namco does tekken as well so it seemed like a good idea in their minds.

Even though Heihachi is a good charecter in tekken, he's only decent in SC2.

Yoshimitsu is in both Tekken and SC, but he definitely fits in both.

Heihachi....since he doesn't really use a weapon doesn't. Then again what charater is exclusive enough to Sony that they could of plopped them in the game.

Gender, Race, Weapon for the carater creator? Any listing of the weapons yet?

What's that green lady name. She looks pretty hot and remind many people of Ivy. I read an interview of many upcoming new characters(all original so far) and she really caught my eye. I can't remember her name though, anyone know?

Will SC3 have all new charaters? Or are you just saying that there are several new characters?

I hope the new character actually has a weapon, and the gameplay won't be slowed down like tekken... tekken is sooo slow. The new character should be like that dood in onimusha or a final fantasy character... sephiroth or sum1. dat would be kick ass, and they will actually be used in the game.

There will be NO guest characters. Namco has already announced that. Although who knows, they may come up with some secret hidden character. But at the moment they have announced that there will be no guest characters. And SCIII will stay exclusive to the PS2, I think one of the reasons stated was so that they could devote their time to the game to refine it. I'm not exactly sure why as well.

As for new characters, there will be three new characters. Tira, the girl in green, Zasalamel, the big black guy with a scythe and Setsuka, the one in a red dress.

There isn't much information released regarding the create-a-character option, except that there will be one.

Hmm, those new charaters look interesting. Two out of the three have new weapons to SC. Wonder if we'll see Author again, he was only in the first SC arcade right?
