I just watched episode 2 and have to say that I hope this is not one of those anime that each episode is its own story because none of the charecters from the first episode are in the second....except the main one. The animation is great though so I will stick it out till the end. What do you guys think? Surprised

Actually, that is sort of a dismal thing if you ask me. After dabbling briefly in the manga, I have discovered that the opening 2 episodes (and hopefully not the others) have nothing to do with the manga/story overall. They are just filler episodes.

Unfortunately, if they have a whole truckload of filler episodes that don't advance the plot, then that seriously degrades the anime's value. (at least in my eyes)

If anyone of you remember DNAngel starting with its 13 fillers, you'll know what I'm talking about...

wow the cruznik looks like jin from samurai champloo...

ep1 was enjoyable but nothing really that special. it was pretty cheesy when the father asked jessica to make him the sandwich after they land.

will follow up with 2nd episode and hope we get an outline for the story besides random names of extremist (vampire?) groups.

how is the quality of the subs? i was keen on downloading trinity blood but saw that it was being subbed by w dreamers, a fansub group that was said, on another forums, to be pretty crap quality based on some of their other work

the first version of ep1 of w-dreamers was indeed bad at resolution (it was like 120mb ^^) _and_ translation esp. names. But they did a second version with "normal" (170mb) size and fixed the translation. Maybe it could be done better, but as long as they are the fastest group out there, i'll stick with them.

Trinity Blood reminds me of Hellsing, Chrno Crusade and Trigun. Seeing as all those anime's are great, that's not such a bad thing. I'm waiting for episode three, hopefully it provides more enlightenment. Or maybe my mind is a mess from watching too many anime's at once.

Well, considering that AE has been a good group for a long time, and that Conclave is the neo-keep group with many of the good translators and editors and staff, it's not surprising that their version is good.

Never thought the Vatican would be like that shown in Trinity blood. Especially after the recent papal election. lol.

hmm i watched some of gantz by w-dreamers and the subs were okay. a-e has a really good reputation and i love their work, but since i started with w-dreamers i'd keep downloading their work since it's decent and not as bad as some people say.
