Well I'm looking forward to having the characters develop in this series. The first time I saw the show I thought it was cool, but it left questions.

| The animation in the ova is looking GOOD! I have high expectations for this OVA series...so far so good. |

The only thing i really have to say is that the original series was really good and so far the OVA is looking great. The most memorable thing from the original series, is everyone arguing over if alucard is really supposed to be the son of dracula or really dracula thanks to that scene in episode 11 or 12. I remember some F-tards even saying that his name is Arucardo because they obviously did not understand that there is not L in japanese and not to mention the -o at the end is accent not actual name...

Too bad (?) that the OVA doesn't allow such discussion, because that is resolved in OVA 1. I would have liked to see that argument... Too bad I didn't catch the anime during its run. Would have been a blast.
Arucardo... now that's just dumb.

Well, if the OVA goes along with the manga story (which it looks like its gonna do), then that arument will arise once again. Some really interesting tidbits in the manga, that will hopefully be taken into the OVA.
Damn, June!? kinda bummed about that. But, i suppose I'd rather it be pushed back and done right then early and done badly. |

Watch OVA #1 again. The question is already solved there. 
June, huh? the date on the official website says 2006.08.04. Wouldn't that be august? I'm confused. Does the month come first or second?

I've heard a similar comment before. Now, the OVAs are a separate project from the Anime, they're even being done by a different studio (Geneon, the series was done by Gonzo). The reason why the OVAs don't really make much sense yet is because they aren't supposed to, yet. this is only episode 2 of this particulat project. The plotline should become clearer in the 3rd one and 4th one. basically what happened now is:
OVA 1: Introduce the characters.
OVA 2: Say that there is an unusual situation going on. Prove it with an assault on Hellsing HQ.
OVA 3: Spoiler 
Logically, the next step would be to further ellucidate what that situation is, so we can expect more of it later on.

Or by the fact that he's been called "count"in both of the OVAs.

seras seems to be the only one in the OVA that is being SDed... giving the OVA its slight comedy which i didn't find in the series...
darn.. such a long wait for the next installment... JUNE?? hope its somewhere near my birthday..
