Hellsing (OVA)

Bump.

As I expected, the third installment of the Hellsing OVA will be released in February 2007. This is really when the series and OVA stop being alike, so look forward to it!

The third OVA is coming out!

I watch the OVA before the news update on the front page...
Didn't really bring in new story development for the TV one

Duk- The OVA is still ongoing. Its more faithful to the manga than the anime series which was disappointing.

As happy as I am about knowing the next release date, (february 9), I must (once again) voice my displeasure with the release schedule. One episode every six months is stretching it A LOT, especially considering that this OVA will at least have 10 episodes. That means that it will be over in 2010 at the very least. That is a LONG time, as far as I'm concerned. A quality product takes a long time to make, but that long? couldn't a four month timetable have worked?

Sadness...

Yes it was disappointing on how the OVAs are being released. Reminds me of how Macross Zero OVA was released every so and so month. T_T

But I guess its worth the wait.

Heh, I know what you mean. I find myself having to supplement some other anime with stunning visuals and battles just to wait for Hellsing. *sigh* Still though, February...That's gonna take forever.

Since Hellsing Ultimate was delayed in release from 2005 to 2006, we switched the year when Hellsing Ultimate was released to 2006, making it eligable to be voted for as one of the top animes of 2006, which is now open I believe for everyone to vote for.

I heard some stuff about the 3rd OVA. They released a screenshot of the 3rd OVA that indicate the 3rd OVA might end at the begining of volume 4 in the manga.

Geneon has scheduled the release of the second volume of this OVA in the US for April. Since the US release is in a 4 month timetable (apparently), this could (possibly) mean that the Japanese (and therefore fansubbed) version might be accelerated as well.

Then again, it could be that Geneon's website hasn't updated that information. I recall reading somewhere that the originall schedule was less than 6 months appart, and I don't know how good Geneon is at keeping track of websites (geneon's fafner website is still convinced that volume 3 will be coming on sale soon, even though the whole thing has been out for a while already).

my god...i was so psyched for the third one to come out...i was counting down the days....now that its been post-poned...i cant take it anymore...this next episode is one of my favorite volumes in the manga series...simply cuz this is where i first saw alucard's tr00 monsterious form...way more monsterious then what they had in the original series......and they took it away from me Crying or Very sad

Anyway, the new date for the third OVA is out: April 04.

Not surprisingly this delay also put the American release behind. Originally planned for April as well: the new date is june 12.

I wonder if the delay was at least in part a delaying tactic for Geneon to re-schedule the impossible 4-months apart american release originally hinted at by Geneon's online release calendar, which placed the second volume of ultimate for release in april in the US.

*Actually, the time break between posts is what justifies this. That line is just to brag about my awesomeness.
