There's no one dominant genre of anime that's better than another if you ask me. It's only the quality that counts, but right now i'm appealed to romance comedies involving some action.

A good mecha anime can also make my day at any given time.

For all those that have read my posts and reviews, It's no surprise that I think Evangelion is one of the best. I'm not sure as to which one is the "best". Jin-roh: wolf brigade, Grave of the fire flies, akira, elfen lied, perfect blue, wings of honneamise, blood: the last vampire, the kenshin OAVs, mezzo forte, ninja scroll, voices of a distant star, ghost in the shell, saikano, princess mononoke, spirited away and blue gender are all excellent and brilliant animes. To answer the question, I do not think that there is an anime that is THE "best".

If anything I would go for the action/comedy type of anime. Eh, maybe alittle romance would be good too. Either way as long as it has a good story then I'll be fine with it.

I think a blend of Comedy/Action/Adventure/Serious kinds of anime are good and if u put them all toghter u get Hunter X Hunter I like manga better then anime + anime stoped while manga LIVES ON!!!
