well Renton-Eureka relationship is a bit like Ren-Coud relationship from Erementar Gerad...

what's funny is that the whole crew about this stuff... and while most of them poke fun at him, some really gave some good advice in getting some kind of advancement...

and it advances, bit by bit, with each passing ep...

Rule of thumb usually when waiting for episodes:
Don't complain about the releases, if you're so great, go translate, edit, time, and release them yourselves. The subbers do this out of their own time, and don't need people on their backs complaining about their release schedules.

I'm surprised to see so many mixed emotions regarding this series. Oh well, guess that's what forums are for... anyway, I am seven episodes deep into this series and I have found it to be very enjoyable. The characters are interesting, the world they live in (LFOs, KLFs, and those green-flying-rays-things (can't remember word)) are all pretty cool.

If you ask me, it seems a lot like "Cowboy Bebop" meets "Evangelion." It's a rag-tag bunch of meandering wanderers just looking for some cash flow, but they get super-cool mechas and gadgets to play with. The art is cool also, but most of all, I think the pacing of the story is it's strongest point. Things aren't progressing rapidly fast in a rushed manner, but it's moving quick enough to keep the audience's attention. I just hope this keeps up, cause like some have lamented here, it's 50 episodes long, so we're in it for the long haul.

Kudos to A-Source for putting this series on it's Featured Anime list back in early June!!

looks like gekko state are cold blooded killers! well i guess its a bit more complicated that that but cba to get into. But those scenes with Eureka slaughtering those people! Ya think renton mighta been a bit more shocked or something??? oh well looks like is starting to develop a lil better now Very Happy

Some very interesting developments in episode 9 and the next episode it looks like.

Eureka, Holland have a very shady past with the military as the SOF. Eureka we see in particular was pretty damn ruthless in episode 9. It gives us some interesting insight to the group.

The next episode looks like it delves deeper into the whole overall plot of the story. Looks like we might find out more about Renton's father and what he did in the military.
