Yeah, You can see their sillouettes in the forest when their lights shine, even Eureka's wings. They both became something else, neither human nor coralian, but I think that phisically, they're still there

All in all, a good show that wrapped up pretty damn well. I wouldn't mind a follow-up movie, but I think it can be left alone as it is just fine.

couldnt agree more, its a shame its over but all good things come to an end Sad

Wow. I just finished watching this. Its pretty damn good, all that annoying Renton whining and the little kids' annoying crying somehow made watching this 50 episode thing all worth it.

I must say I like Dominic and Anemone. They rock! Very Happy

The ending was fairly tragic, but somehow still turned out alright. An fairly interesting show and a good watch for everyone in my opinion.

Aside from the sappy cheesiness, this series is somewhat deep. It's not too complicated but it covers some topics that people tend to complicate anyway. The ideas themselves are adult in nature but simple enough for anyone, including young kids, to understand. The accepting and extremely forgiving attitudes of most of the characters makes this a feel-good anime worth watching.

Ray and Charles Beam were my favorite characters.

I hated Moondoggie. Especially with those stupid pants.

Dominic and Anemone rock =D. I agree with you about Renton and the whining, I honestly thought I would stop watching halfway through because of him.. but there was something there, some.. addictive element to Eureka 7. I still don't know waht.., oh. and he did eventually get better.. which was good.

*kinda offtopic note.* I finally watched it. And you were right leoxjm, it was good.. really good.*

Back to actually talking about Eureka 7. I didn't really like the ending though, at least the part when the
Nirvash decided to evolve one more time and Renton decided to scream his I CAN FLY thing.. kinda cheesy to me.. other than that though, ending was good. I liked fafner's ending better though. =P

*Offtopic note #2. Our thread about mecha died awhile ago didn't it.. =( Oh.. and is kaykay still around? I don't think I've seen her post in awhile either.. =p*

The main theme of the show was love and adolescence. It is the coming of age for Renton. I think the reason that watching Renton was so annoying was because we all look at Renton and think back to how we once were when we were going through that stage in life. I don't think this show would have been better any other way.

I say this again and again, this series was just too damn good.

I was watching the last few episodes again... I just noticed this in the episode 50... sigh...

Heh, never really thought of it that way.. You're definitely right about that though, now that I do think about it, the process of watching Renton grow was really really interesting, the development of Renton, and definitely Eureka was probably why we watched this series in the first place, other than the fact that you have skateboards in the sky and things blowing up =). Eureka was probably more interesting than Renton too, she's almost like an incarnation of innocence, and shes free to be molded into any form taht you want, and it really is until she meets Renton that she starts to grow up too.. But we all knew that anyway. That was jsut me babbling on =).

This series really was too damned good, I regret not watching it right when it came out.. =p

Hey offtopicz! Kaykay hasn't been around anymore, so yeah, the old thread is pretty dead... buried in the anime general forum. After seeing KnM I was planning to revive it mentioning mecha poorly done, but I didn't bother... anyway, enough off-topicness!

No you don't. You would have been waiting...and waiting.. and waiting some more... releases were slow. I'm planning to get it on DVD... I liked it so much that I'm actually gonna spend money on it. Being the cheapass that I am, that is something.

Anyway, Kitsune is right about it being "Renton's coming of age" He lived a lot of things, saw lots of people and lived in different places until kinda finding his own way beside eureka. At least he went from annoying to something better. That was awesome.

Hell yeah! When Dominic falls from that hole screaming her name was one of the best anime scenes ever made. I just love it.

ROFL!! Holland has one leg WAAAY shorter than the other!!

I think you gotta blame the "not so up to standard" art for that? Renton's face did kinda screw up sometimes...

Oh yeah, my favourite character is definetly Anemone, she's just so... pitiable, it's just impossible not to like her somewhat... and her's own story with dominic is really nice...

Oh ya.. is renton really growing (as in physically) thoughout the series? i though he just shot up suddenly... kinda...

Really? Damn, I wish I could check that right now, but I lent it to my girlfriend during the summer, she finished it, but hasn't given it back yet. Could someone check that for me though? That aside, I think Anemone grew on us as the series went on. I mean, the first time I saw her, I didn't like her at all, and I actually thought the relationship with her and Dominic would go in a very different direction. I guess that shows what a good anime Eureka 7 really was, good character development, interesting plot, interesting storyline.. etc etc. =)

This was indeed one of my favorite mecha series. It had an original story as well as interesting characters with complex histories. The fact that the Nirvash was alive and had its own personality just like TheEND did really added to the story too, though it is sort of hard to explain. This show had an overall up-beat trend even though it had many tragic moments and I think this is something that a lot of shows fail to achieve. No matter how many tragic things occurred I was left feeling happy and satisfied at the end.

lol like most people that've watched this series in like 1 day and a 1/2 just so addicting it was amazing.

about the ending.
When you look closely at Renton and Eureka in the forest try to take a good look at the moon. Its turned backwards so pretty much they're stuck on the other end of the planet I'm guessing.
