I think he just got pissed coz of the things happened there and his involvement in the past murders in that place... Prolly he was thinking "how could you play/surf in this murder land" but yeh boils down to he is an idiot coz Renton doesnt know shit bout the place's past... _________________
It kind of annoys me how much crap Renton is willing to take, but I think I'm going to like him more as the story progresses, ep 9 looks like its going to pick up the pace of the series.
I love Nanashi for fansubbing the series btw awesome job,

I don't think he has much of a choice, the crew of Gekko State is his only family now that his Dad and Sister are both gone, and after the way he left home (or I should say, the heap of rubble where his house used to be), I don't think his grandfather would be happy to see him back right away. He's idolized Holland and his gang for years, so I think putting up with a little hazing is worth it. If not that, then getting to be around Eureka seems to be his true motivation.
Also, there was something about his fate being tied to the Nirvash Type Zero, the Amita Drive, and Eureka that I can't remember clearly at this point. _________________ GTX: Great Teacher Xeno... my daily blog about teaching in an elementary and middle school in Japan (see right-menu)
Eureka's kids are annoying as hell. They are ugly and not cute at all. The series would be better without them. Lets just see what happens in the following episodes...hopefully they will die.

just watched ep 10 and 11
this is where the story would kick off... Nirvash TypeTHEEND is really interesting, and it's launch sequence are cooler than of Nirvash TypeZERO...
makes me wonder seeing The End's cockpit... is Nirvash really a humanoid, or at least a being-like mecha, like the ones in Eva?
And then the connection between Anemone and Eureka... both had gold chains around their necks, both of them pilot Nirvash, just who are they?
and then the Coralian, why was it called "the seat of God"? too many questions were unanswered before, and now we are bumped with more questions

theEND looked so cool, how the entire cockpit showed exactly what was happening all around her as if there was no cockpit. it also seems to be designed as more of a combat unit than what we've seen from the nirvash so far. Strange how Nirvash was the first LFO and now we have one called theEND
Anemone is the second anime character who I find extremely annoying and yet think is really, really cool. The first would be Jan Valentine and forever will he remain the king.
I actually felt sorry and terrified for her through most of episode 11 and at the end of episode 10. I get the sense that "complete and utter physcopath" is not her normal state of mind. With the being sent into battle and constant state of pain and the frequent injections (you'll notice she has a little plastic tube where a vein is supposed to be) and the being shoved into an evil (tm) robot, it's no surprised she's a little kooky.
I was a little jarred by the quick transition between 10 and 11, but looking back, they have been building up to this moment for some time and I just didn't notice. I'm glad the plot is finally kicking up. The first episodes were slow, but now we have a solid basis for understanding all the characters. If Eureka 7 really is an action series, this will make things go smoother is furture episodes because the writers won't have to break the flow to exposite on the characters.
Hurrah, also, for Moondoggie and Gidget. They've been a genuinely amusing couple without having to get all mushy and not playing up the usual relationship jokes. And Moondoggie's relationship with Renton has been appropiate, yet not overbearing. It had one episode, then it's been allowed to sort of come out of the woodwork on its own.

hmm... i am really confused by this anime now...i still like it, but theres just so many unknowns. I mean, these weird council like people, the long haired top dog military dude, Anemone with the weird plastic hole or whatever, and Eureka,s past. Confusing.

When I was watching this episode, I got the same feeling when they introduced her. I thought, either the anime character art is so similiar that everyone just looks basically the same OR the art director intentionally made her look like Eureka because they are indeed related. Plus, both of them had headaches at the same time, maybe they're like clones made by the military or something.... hmmm, interesting.
