I must agree with three things I've seen. Splinter Cell, Dynasty Warriors, and NOT Halo or Half-Life.
A FPS could not hold a strong enough story to support a film, since most of the excitement comes from playing the game.
Splinter Cell is TPS, and more of a stealth game than anything else. It would be like the game, without doing missions 8 times over.
Another intersting game as a movie would be Front Mission. Imagine a war movie, set so far into the future, with giant mechs...take it from the story in FM4, and the whole Germany/general thing would have the audience crying.

What the hell are you talking about. You obviously haven't played ANY of HL or HL2.

There's enough vagueness and backstory to suffocate a small child.

And then some.

From the portal storms to the G-man to the entire formation of the Combine army; this game would deliver a movie as action packed as a can of tuna. Explosive tuna, that is.

Although, I do agree that Halo would be gay. As would many others. One I wouldn't mind seeing would be a Battlefield 1942 one. It sounds stupid, but watching our harrowing heroes inching their way across a gigantic map from both sides of the conflict would be both enlightening and tense.

games which should be turned into movies:
front mission - i totally agree with The_Reitouki front mission would b a great movie if they had proper director n funds, with the computer graphics today, i can already picture a movie based on the game.

devil may cry - i juz luv this game. sooo koool!! hopefully they could make a movie as kool as the game!!

starcraft - i kno its kind of an old game but da whole idea of a war raging among humans, high tech protoss and (undescribable) zerg, is juz plain kool.

big no no's for game to movies:
TEKKEN - pls... i juz love this game.. i dun want them to ruin it with a cheap story they make of how to link all the characters... it'll b street fighter all over agin!! they already spoiled street fighter for me dun let tekken b the same!!

or any other game which does not have a deep enough story line to b turned into a movie... it juz doesnt usually work out...

A Metroid movie would be cool, but I have heard rumours about it being a real project!

They out to make Xenosaga a movie because it pretty much is.

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas might be a good one, but I think it would be similar to the Friday movies.

Also Resident Evil 4. Nice horror movie for those that try to take advantage of your "clingy" dates. Wink
