Spirited Away Synopsis & Reviews on Anime-Source

what about anime "Spirited Away"? i like it a lot.

i think every character is taken from some fairy tale, or fable, and i would like to know which is taken from wich and abit of history of each character..... wouldnt it be interesting! Wink

for example little frogie (which is all the time shoked) that should mean smth....... Smile

I thought only the Susuwatari (black ball shapes workers) are taken from My Neighbour Totoro? However, they are definitely smaller than the ones in Totoro. The other characters should be original based on Miyazaki's imagination when he walk around his house or studio for some ideas.

However, i do think Chihiro is a little bit similar to Alice (in the Wonderland) since both of them "went to another world". Then again, we can't compare the two since one is a dream and another might be a parallel world.

I reckon BloomGrl was mostly referring to the monsters and ghosts of spirited away.
I think they are taken from the japanese myths and legends... and i am sure i saw a very good website referring to that... ill post it when i find it..

yeah!it was a good anime..although a little boring in the begining but things will get pretty exciting in the end..good..good..i like it.

i thought that was a fantastic anime!! it's interesting to me ^^ the monster thing kinda reminds me of them hollows in bleach..

something about spirited away... even tho u knw its not real u wanna believe in it

i watched it with my girlfriend didnt expect to enjoy it but i was amazed
think the perfect word is 'charming'

I love this movie alot. I think i have watched it at least 10 times Very Happy

. The animation and the story are top notch. This movie is a must see.

Sheer brilliance. I absolutely loved the masked cloak figure that assimilates what he eats into his body structure...awesomeness.

I really liked Spirited Away. The art and music were great! The plot was also interesting. It's not your typical "child gets sent to another world" story. Chihiro seemed like a realistic heroine that I could relate to.
